I dunno about you guys, but I'll go to hell. I am sure of that. And if it doesn't happen by itself, I will MAKE it happen.
So does this mean I've fucked myself multiple times, or was it masturbation?
it's all a crock of shit anyway. That kind of idea about the meaning of life is just that all of reality is a rat maze devised by an omnipotent puppet master directing you towards intangible cheese. Personally I'd kick him in his fucking balls or ask to be put in the immortal form of a horrid shoggoth to brood beneath the earth for all eternity instead of bothering with his faux philosophical "growth" bullshit.
Decomposition.
Only real answer to that question: Kill yourself and find it out.
There is the same probability of nothing happening as there is that something will. You just have to wait and find out.
you go to heaven
The whole thing about reincarnated in another earth follows along the theory of a multiverse. It goes that beyond our universe there is an infinite number of other universes that all contain a different one of us. In one universe you could be living the exact same life as you do now. Another you could live a horrible life of misery or one filled with happiness. There are several theories on this that I could go on about. But I believe we go to heaven or hell.
nothing the whole heaven/hell thing is just a way to control people and give them an incentive to be good. "you're going to heaven if you're a good person." "you're going to burn in hell if you're bad."
The whole topic on death kinda makes me unnerved.
So, if everything is pointless, why don't? people fuck shit up?
Instinct. Procreate, survive for as long as possible, ensure the continuation of the species. Also nothing, it's not an infinite void, as you do not exist to comprehend it.

The chemical in the brain theory that makes a really long dream makes me wonder. What if someone has lost much brain matter from a tragic incident. Would it really do anything at all? If you died instantly and your brain was destroyed completely and disconnected, what would really happen, surely the chemical theory wouldn't take effect thus, meaning? Its determining whether you have the eternal dream or not.
An endless sleep IMO.
Hopefully a lucid one, I can live with that :v: [editline]123123[/editline] Oh wait.
What I think what happens after death is that you goto. eternal party man. freaking Party all day with all higher ups, Jesus, God, Satan, and all the cool kids, partying up 24/7 aww yee. Smoking Dope, and Doing Fun Shit all the time. Hell Yeah.

It kind of makes me uneasy about the topic. What if I can't control the dream, but hey, I'll take control sooner or later, and do what I want. It would eventually have to end though. Like someone said, a minute in real life could be a quite a few years in the dream world. [editline]01:30AM[/editline]
You can't dream without a brain.
I guess that's what happens then. Brain gets destroyed upon death, no dream, just blank. Hell with the Satan from Leo and Satan would be cool. God damnit I'm so tired I'm thinking like a fucking 2nd grader.
If reincarnation is true, where does new life come from? The number of living things is exponentially growing, not staying the same.
You'll get taken up to the spirit in the sky, a fucking sweet place when you die. Actually, grave robbers will just steal from your lifeless corpse and you'll lay there rotting for the rest of your life.
About the dream tho... How can i know that i arn't already dyed? Since if i'm dreaming as dyed, how can i know that i am dreaming? Get it? What if life is just a dream? what if i just imagined all this, you all, this forum, and it's all just in my imagination... and.. and... :psyboom:
This whole thread makes my brain explode. Lets just go with some sort of Heaven for now.. [editline] Hi [/editline] What if everything that ever happened, happened all at once. And our brains are merely too slow to perceive it fast enough..
Well, science has found that just before death, your brain releases a very large amount of a chemical that is released just before dreaming. This could potentially mean that your concious is set into a permanent dream. Therefore people who come back to life after being dead for a moment, may have either seen heaven, or a dream world. The chemical also means that people who are dying may start to suffer hallucinations moments before death, similar to sleep paralysis. (except there is no longer need for paralysis)
My theories were fucking right, god damnit that's cool. I've always believed that this would happen, and that your "heaven" is whatever you want it to be, because this happens and thus your brain gives you exactly what you want. What happens afterwards, I have no idea. My idea was that your brain slows down time the more it lacks oxygen, but it has to stop working all together at one point, and then I guess your dream world vanishes, but what happens I have no clue.
Since everything we see, hear, taste, touch and smell is caused by the brain is working, the brain need energy to work but since it will eventually give up, it would be like sleeping but without dreaming I presume.
Just putting this out there.... Lets assume that the universe has always existed. When the universe gets too big, it shrinks and time goes backwards. Eventually it will become your time and you'll live your life backwards. Then when the universe gets to small, the big bang happens and the entire thing is like a loop. The problem with this theory is that taking a crap, birth and christmas suck in reverse. Diseases, theft and genocide are pretty good though.
If I was atheist, I would believe that all everyone is is a part of the universe and instead of souls everything we are and have done has just happened by chance and is a side effect of chemical reactions n stuff. So therefore when you die, you're not really dying because there wasn't anything there to begin with with which "dying" would end, just a complicated mass of atoms, which, when you "die" continue to rearrange themselves. And when you die, and other people remember you, they can't really remember "you" because if a soul is basically just the effect of many many chain reactions spurring other chain reactions, they're just remembering a mass of atoms which have by happenstance and chance have amassed into a certain order. hahah what But I like to believe in souls and a God, so I'm inclined to believe that when you die you either get reincarnated or remain a soul, or perhaps your soul gets absorbed into life, along with the body. [editline]03:34PM[/editline] This is really cool
Oi fuck bag, don't speak for a group of people, ever. I personally believe our consciousness cease and we shut down, kinda like a computer being switched off, cause that's pretty much what it is. You must feel atleast something. I wonder how it feels to not feel/see/hear anything.
Nothing retard, you're dead. EDIT Non-flamey post: [sp][insert non asshole comment here][/sp]
Just hold your breath for 2 minutes and you will find out.If you are lucky enough to wake up.
Someone's been playing a little too much Alan Wake.
Quantum Immortality was theorised decades ago. [editline]12:57PM[/editline]
You must feel atleast something. I wonder how it feels to not feel/see/hear anything.
There's nothing. Imagine cutting out your eyes, killing every sensory nerve in your body, deafening yourself, putting rubber cement in your nose and cutting out your tongue. Your close then but you can still think. It's impossible to describe because you are trying to describe non existence and there is no human who has ever experienced it and came back to tell the tale because there is no tale to tell to come back and tell.
*Very repeated story* :buddy:
That seriously sounds like something I would've made in third grade why does everyone love it so damned much?
