Steampunk is badass but I've never seen it pulled off in real life (costume wise). I've seen some badass gadgets and furniture and shit though.
Post when it arrives!
I really like how people are getting into Etsy!
Will definitely do so, I just wish I had more money so I could buy matching attire.
Girl Genius is a good steampu- I mean, gaslamp webcomic.
Should give it a read sometime.

That dress is the sex.
No one does steampunk right except iron grip and a few others.
It's not LOL GEARS AND PIPES ON STUFF EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN WHY THEY'RE THERE.
It should be a cross between 1870 Europe and World War I.
I can imagine a steampunk world.
It would be a planet maybe about one third the size of Earth (which means 1/3 of the gravity) Where there would be a massive public transport system, preferably in the form of open-air trains(monorails?), on tracks either suspended from the air or built up from the ground. Airships would be widely popular because of the smaller planet and less gravity making helium or other very light gasses much more effective, and maybe because people wouldn't mind taking the extra time to enjoy the scenery along the way. There would also be a very small plane that would be a one-seater, for faster travel in cities and towns. Things would be built in a way that glorified all the clockwork and steel that went in to making them instead of trying to cover it up, it would be a world that wasn't meant to be safe, it was meant to be safe ENOUGH, where there weren't overprotective seals and locks on everything.
and also everyone would where top hats, because top hats are awesome.
I played ff7 so i'm a expert.
I remember seeing an image of steampunk ghostbusters. Need to find it.
Also, there I remember someone wrote a book about WW1, but steampunkish.

sounds epic, and about the safety, if your stupid enogh to drink bleach with a big Skull and Crossbones, then you should die. (except if your a baby)
Bowler hats.
Enough said.
Also Electro/Technopunk is where it's at. No, not the music.
A little too tall I think, the ones here http://www.gentlemansemporium.com are nice but they don't offer it in white. Also silk hats are super rare for some stupid reason this is ridiculous.
This game was part Steampunk. At least I enjoyed it.
They had to cancel Episode 3 :frown:
Sure steampunk is fine and dandy.
But wannabes piss me off, so that's why i don't consider myself steampunk.
though i made a USB case once, though it looks more like something from Ravenholm.
EDIT: i've never heard of Dieselpunk, but it looks pretty awesome

steampunk is pretty badass, but it would look pretty dumb if you did it in real life.
No, that'd be even more badass :byodood:
no I mean if you were just chillin' round town in your Victorian suit and goggles.
I used to have an english teacher though, and he dressed up in his Victorian clothes complete with pocket watch nearly every day. One time he dressed up as Rorshach and that was badass
