Seems even worse than it was with previous games [t]http://cdn.mos.cms.futurecdn.net/4CP9xzSNSkbPvxx8G2xQ9T.jpg[/t]
FC4 at max settings looks just like that, its just everything is staged.
the lighting, post-processing and such in the new preview shots can be actual authentic in-game stuff but it's very clear to see that all the tracers, fire, smoke, impact effects and muzzle flashes (not to mention that awful blood splash) are photoshopped, most likely for dramatic effect why the hell do "professional" photomanipulators insist on using those absolutely abysmal stock muzzle flashes anyway
FC4 at max settings looks just like that, its just everything is staged.
Object motion blur doesn't look like that in-game, smoke effects and fire particles are different; there's this haze around the round that seems that dust was kicked up by the 3 wheeled car - that's not in the game either. Core assets like models and textures seem to look the same, but that's not all that impressive
So Far Cry is going back to Cry Engine? That's pretty cool
It's on a new build of the Dunia engine, which is a modified version of CryEngine 1 from the original FarCry.
The Far Cry 3, 4 and Primal trailers also had 'Powered by CryEngine' in the copyright text. The Far Cry 2 trailers didn't though which is interesting.
The Far Cry 3 and 4 trailers also had 'CryEngine' in the copyright text. The Far Cry 2 trailers didn't though which is interesting
Probably got into legal trouble with FarCry 2. It was the first game to use Dunia after all.
Yeah, and? At no point are they saying that they are actual in-game screenshots. They're basically just artwork.
I don't see anywhere on the not-screenshots where it says "these are not in game captures, just concept art renders". They're deliberately fooling people into thinking its actual gameplay screenshots to drive sales.

Please, do point that out to me.
Oh but you do see where it says "these are FINAL screenshots that are representative of the FINAL game? Please, do point that out to me.
Can you point out where it doesn't say that? Can you point out at all where it says what type of screenshots those are? My point is that Ubisoft is purposefully holding that information to misinform people into thinking those are actually ingame screenshots, and that the final product will actually look like that.

As others have said, FC4 did look pretty similar to its screenshots, the screenshots were just obviously set up situations.
http://hitman.wikia.com/wiki/Hope apparently though this one is set in south dakota
I couldn't forget it because the sound of 47 saying "Hope, South Dakota... You're a long way from home" is ingrained into my brain
I think this will appeal well to the 'murrica - aint gonna take my land - audience.
If only real life would stop copying Ubisoft games -technical overreaction-
i'm not saying it's outlandish or ridiculous to have, it's just the de facto car of every far cry game and gets old.
Can't wait to have the same god awful writing that we had in FC3, FC4 and all the other Ubisoft games, while the gameplay actually turns out to be kinda fun.
I recently got Ghost Recon: Wildlands and have been very surprised by the quality of the game and it's writing. I'd say it's the best thing Ubisoft has published in years.

Youre overestimating your average consumer of video games if you think they can differentiate concept art made to look like its in-game, from actual screenshots.
I recently got Ghost Recon: Wildlands and have been very surprised by the quality of the game and it's writing. I'd say it's the best thing Ubisoft has published in years.
I liked Wildlands but it's definitely not their best thing in a while, it's fun but it's got a loooooot of problems, with the main one being that the voice acting is writing is completely fucking atrocious. Something like Watch_Dogs 2 is just a better game in pretty much every way.
I cannot wait for this, love the setting.
there is a russian movie with very similliar plot, deranged leader of mercenary group steals and hunts people for sport in the deeps of swamps. far cry game would work perfectly in this style.
What is the name of that movie? Looks interesting.
What is the name of that movie? Looks interesting.
Piranha/ Охота на пиранью https://russia.tv/video/show/brand_id/6470/episode_id/135657/video_id/135657/
