I think the main point that I'm trying to get at is that I want a girlfriend but I don't know of any girls that I would want to date, and I don't even know where to begin looking for the kinds of girls I would want to date.

I made a few female friends this year by just saying "Hi!" at some point to them. It's not hard to make new friendships, with females.
