I know that communism will never work perfectly, capitalism hasn't worked how it was supposed to. Nothing works perfectly, we are after all, human. I believe communism is something to strive for.

The USSR was NOT communist. It was, sorta while Lenin was in power, but once Stalin took over it was state capitalist, the complete opposite of what communists today want.

Unless we evolve into Robots, it's not something that will be remotely possible and pointless to 'strive for' when you could just be a good person for the sake of being a good person and not to indorse a dead political concept.

Except in capitalism, you are taught that being good doesn't benefit yourself. If you are a greedy, heartless prick, you can do very well. But if you are giving and open, you won't do as well financially.

Even in the beginning it wasn't 'Communist' if you're going to limit Communism completely to the original Manifesto without any room for deviation. In which case if you're going to do that it's completely acceptable for Woot to say "There are no Communist Countries and that it never worked." because you admit yourself. As redundant repeating it may be.

You aren't really taught that. I don't go to school to be overloaded with "Greed is Good" and we don't watch the movie 'Wall Street' everyday in Economics class.
If what your saying was true, we'd be Anarchists because no one would be interested in upholding law or order and we'd just do what we damn well pleased to fulfill our greed.

Of course it wasn't 'perfect' communism how Marx invisioned it, it didn't go capitalist to communist right away (although Lenin tried to have a open market for a short amount of time, even though it didn't help). It's impossible to follow the manifesto perfectly, but it's a good starting point for anything. It's not a bible, it's simple guidelines.
