My parents are Conservative Republicans. I can't stand it when they talk about politics, I want to shoot my dad in the face because his ideals are so retarted. It's mostly because he is extreme rightist and watches fox news all the time, I can't stand watching fox news and when I tell them that fox is biased they are like, "Well so are the rest of the channels but Fox is less biased." I facepalm when they say that.
My parents don't even vote, although they both would vote for NDP if they did (borderline socialist). I'm going to try and convince them to vote next election.
Do they think Wikipedia is biased? Everyone in my family on all sides except just my parents are conservative republican.

You could, but you'd probably get half of them wrong. I'm a typical Republican except I'm Atheist and Pro-Choice. Liberals and Democrats seem to demonize and generalize Republicans as bible-thumping fear-mongers afraid of change and full of hate and intolerance, which isn't true, I haven't met a single Republican like that myself, not to say they don't exist, but they're rarer then you think.

Even though I consider myself to be socialist I really dislike the NDP. I have a feeling they would be the ones to lose too much power to the soccer moms.

My parents think Wikipedia is not good to use because the information is false. I just let it go rather than explain to them that it's very reliable and have them tell me I'm wrong.
I'm not a fan myself. They're trying to distance themselves from their socialist origins way too much. They're going to be liberal party #2 basically.

Texas. The vast majority of people who live here are like that. It SUCKS.
There's a whole group of racist tea party assholes here, and my entire family are all like that. They're not that rare, at least here. Which is odd since California has such a left-wing reputation.

Given the choices we have I would honestly rather have the Conservatives.
Whenever I explain my religious views to anyone they say, "Nope your wrong" and wont listen to me. It makes me sad because I listen to theirs :frown: I've also been told I'm the cool atheist who doesn't bash others (because atheists have a bad rep for bashing)
I live in rural New York. Go figure I guess. All the Republicans here are farmers or Soldiers.
90% of all Liberals and Democrats that live in my area are from the city and they moved here within the last 10 years. I can't make this shit up.
Also Alberta is the most conservative and capitalist province in Canada so that's probably why I hate most people who live here.
