I got the SWAT 4 demo, I'm in love. This is everything I've ever dreamed of in a tactical shooter. Nothing like rushing into a room spamming the comply button.
I used to play SWAT 3 a ton when I was a little kid, I still love the series, in fact, I have like 10 SWAT 3 discs, I was playing the SWAT 4 demo a few days ago. [editline]2nd January 2011[/editline] I love the comply button
I downloaded the demo because you mentioned it. Hey send me one of those SWAT 3 discs and a key yeah? Lol reminds me of how me and my dad have like 6 StarCraft keys between us. [editline]2nd January 2011[/editline] It's so awesome to set the enemies to like 1 but it uses the same model as the 10 hostages on the custom missions. Makes storming a room that much harder.
Well you see, I, being a small child at the time, foolishly lost all of my CD keys. I got blue balls after I tried installing it the other night thinking that it didn't need a key. I also got blue balls when I found my Galactic Battlegrounds discs and discovered that they were to9o damaged. I also lost the CD key to Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit 2
Also I <3 the Taser and flashbang, however the beanbag shotgun can suck a bag of dicks. Also I'd love it if you could say, carry tons of Tasers and only 2 M4 mags or something. Sorta like Resi 4 but not a total chore to deal with ingame.
Yeah, I miss my good times of getting lost in the sewer level in SWAT 3.
It took me so long to find the guy on the demo level. Also I killed/cuffed all the suspects but I forgot to report one of them, it took me so long to find him. [editline]2nd January 2011[/editline] Is it just me or has Gmod.org been slow as fuck for the last couple weeks?
Restrepo was fucking amazing. Watch a movie called "The War Tapes" It's a documentary shot almost entirely by National Guard soldiers who asked to be deployed to Iraq in 2004 I believe. They're all available on YouTube. I'll link to the parts in order. Was pretty rad.
I should make a Airsoft Forum game-night thread. We could all play ArmA, SWAT 4, Starcraft, Insurgency etc. Also, does anyone remember "Off to War" it was a documentary about a National Guard unit in Iraq. I really like it, can't find it anywhere.
i like how alot of the units deployed to iraq were national guard [editline]2nd January 2011[/editline] even though they're NATIONAL GUARD
I don't have ArmA, SWAT 4, Starcraft, or any of the cool shit you guys play. I can barely run Insurgency on my laptop too, but good enough to play.
I have Insurgency and Starcraft, I only have the SWAT 4 demo. I really want ArmA 2 though but my laptop shits itself even on the lowest settings.
CnC Tiberian Sun is freeware/abandonware now, I own it, but airsofters with old computers can definitely run it, plus it's nostalgic and I love it, and it's badass: http://www.commandandconquer.com/classic
It's not that old, I can run source just fine but it's only a 2 GHz processor. I also own Tiberian Sun, my dad gave it to me a while back. I think he has the old AvP somewhere too.
I own Aliens vs. Predator 2, I had a great childhood in terms of PC gaming.
I played Counterstrike and Half-Life all the time.
I grew up with the Aliens vs Predator series, almost every VALVe game, the Command and Conquer series, Galactic battlegrounds, Outlaws, DOOM, Duke Nukem, Wolfenstein, Halo: CE, and of course, let's not forget Warcraft: Orcs and Humans, all of the DUNE games, and of course, Total Annihilation.
Empire Earth 2 is out there. Not going to say anymore then that.. But I used to run an Empire Earth Nation community for awhile. Shit was cash. You split up the map at a start of the round, build borders and not do anything and then as time goes on you'd have build an army and have a war for some reason, rebuild and so on.
I basically grew up on every Valve GoldSrc game. I also played Starcraft with my dad all the time.
I remember buying Age of Empires when I was little, introducing my friends to Halo, and I used to play Team Fortress Classic EVERY DAY, nonstop for a few hours on AdminOP servers. I got into Garry's Mod when I used to play Half Life 2: DM all the time on build servers, thinking it was the greatest ever, then I discovered GMod. Anybody remember those HL2DM maps that had all of these prop spawners and you could build things with the gravity gun and no other tools? I think one of the maps used to be named like dm_buildingblocks or something.
Tomg raider and Alien Trilogy with my dad back in the day. So much good times. And Sonic with my older brother.
I didn't know what TF2 was really, I found out myself and I tried to play but it just isn't for me.
I miss the days with all of the older games and no responsibilities :smith:
I miss when TF2 was so simple and easy to get into. I played it once like a month ago, now it's all people boosting for a bunch of weapons whose functions I have no idea of.
I haven't played it in a few years, I remember when it was simple too.
TF2 has like RPG elements now with inventories and items with different stats and ability and all. I wanted to get a Droid but I still have a contract so they've got me by the balls.
I quit my job at Starbucks because they were going to make me work on New Years Eve and day. Now I search for a new job.
I had to work christmas eve and boxing day at Future Shop. Kinda sucked
I can work all holidays with the exception of Christmas Eve and Thanksgiving.
I don't work in the winter, save for quick oddjobs and community service.
