Let's shift gears: Me and that other chick (the one who just recently stopped being a dick) are still talking, and I asked her if she wanted to do something this weekend. She said yes, and we got plans together and everything, but shortly after all this was completed I remembered that I had shit going on this weekend, so I had to cancel on my own idea. She was fine with it though, so it's all good. I'll try again next week if nothing happens.

Trying to be detached often makes someone look callous. I don't know if that's actually the case, but it is something to consider.

Also it's quite apparent that you do care by looking at what I've quoted above. Not caring is not the same as hating. And either way, being angry is normal, not sharing that with your ex is also normal.
