Not really. I wouldn't be doing the CNC'ing myself. If I give my uncle the schematics of the Makarov (provided he actually would consider making it), then he'd take care of the rest. A lot of his machines use an automated process, where the workers just plug in the data, and the machine just does the rest. Amazing how precise they are.
The ''data'' is the CNC program, in it is the information for which tool the machine will use (if it's a milling CNC), the blade speed, the tool path line, etc. all of which needs to be predefined by hand (except for the path line, depending on the program used). It's an extremely complicated process especially if you don't have the measurements for the Makarov, since you'd have to draw out a plan before you make a program. That in itself would be a long and complicated process as well, since you'd have to find out which tolerances and metals you need to use (and the source book for that stuff is big enough to perform genocide with) A lot of people think it's as simple as entering some data, but there's a lot of work behind getting the data itself. what kind of CNC is it? The whole process that I described might not be as hard depending on the type of machine (eg. a modular one) Edit: Anyways, since your grandfather is probably very experienced with stuff like that, the only real issue is getting the measurements of a Makarov (all of those rounded curves, etc.)
So did anybody go to the Midnight release of New Vegas. I got New Vegas themed poker chips for being the third person there :D. And since I was in my Stalker loadout they might be giving me and my friend the New Vegas posters they hang on the glass wall on the front of the store.
Holy fuck it's out?! Gotta go pick up my collectors edition. I'm putting up some ads for computer repair today, I'm getting desperate cause I need to pay my bills and no one is hiring.
Back in Pennsylvania. I just noticed how boring and lonely I am :c
One of my friends told me to go on vampirefreaks.com to try to get a girlfriend. What does Facepunch think I should do?
To not go there? Actually some of those girls are hot. I'd say it's better to find a girlfriend irl
To not go there? Actually some of those girls are hot. I'd say it's better to find a girlfriend irl
I have trouble finding girls I can relate to in my school. So go on there, attempt find hot goth girls that go to other schools in my city and then hopefully get a girlfriend/get laid. [editline]hurr[/editline] There's also the chance of meeting some really fucked up people on there that convince you to murder your family. Happened to some girl here a few years ago that apparently I went to school with back in grade 3 and 4. She's in a mental institution up in Edmonton now.

I toured the factory with him back in July of last year. I can imagine if he makes aerospace parts, alternative fuel parts, etc, that's it's a pretty top of the line machine. And I'd probably use left over scrap steel to actually make the frame of the body. I'm watching my favorite show. Community.
So I just discovered how much I like Burzum. The first time I listened to them I thought they were really bad because of the vocals but now that some of my friends are starting to like them I decided to seriously start listening to them and they're a lot better than I remember.
You can come visit me. :)
What part are you in?
Lehigh Valley area
I recorded about an hour of footage. I'm rendering the first 15 mins of it and going to be uploading it to YouTube in a bit. The sound is kinda messed up though at the end of each clip so I'm going to try and figure out what's wrong for new clips.
Lehigh Valley area
I'm quite a bit west from you.
:O I live in the Macungie area to be more specific
Man I love my upload speed. Been uploading 15 mins of footage in 720p for over an hour now and I'm 2% done. Amazing. [editline]20th October 2010[/editline] holy shit its 3% now, this is blazing fast.
I love New Vegas, though I wish they fixed the blood and the gibs to be a bit less...shiny. Still A+ so far though.
Alot of people have been having problems with it so far, it's been pretty smooth for me. Just a few random FPS drops here and there.
It is really smooth. The animations still need work but they look a lot less stiff. I wish they had dropped the gamebryo engine though.

The only other issue would be getting a makarov blueprint and the program (A simple rectangle with a couple of holes and rounded edges is already around 30-40 command lines). Good luck though, would be pretty cool if you finished it :buddy:
