Daily Life Thread - General

Taep I'm speaking out of my ass because I have shit-all idea of how the social life in American schools work besides watching Doug and Hey Arnold, but here's a piece of advice from a retard with 4 more years of experience than you: The two biggest problems here are you complete lack of balls and the image you have of the rest of the people. Not only do you think of yourself as the worst thing since Green Day went emo, you have this fixed image of your friends being dicks, those different to you being somehow inferior ("they're asses", "they're jocks!", "they love Bieber!" Hey surprise, most of the people I know who listens to nothing but death metal and complain about other styles of music are the biggest douches. You must realize that just because you wear a CoB shirt it doesn't mean the girl listening to Gaga is a raging idiot that thinks Slayer is a kind of band-aid), and chicks being bitches. The second problem is kind of caused by the first, your low confidence prevents you from going out which causes you to hate everyone else even more. That can be solved, but there's no magic trick, nothing these suave internet don juanes can tell you, it's up to you. And even if it isn't, even if this can't be solved and life sucks and high school is full of retards and bitches and assholes, don't think the future is like that. College is awesome, a pace where no stigma has followed you, where no one knows you or how you screwed up years ago or whatever, a place where everyone is as lost as you and a great place to know more people, so at least you've got that to look forward to. So cheer up, life won't end because you're not fucking that cute goth chick at 16.

That would suck for me. I'm pretty much spending most of my time getting my grades up, doing volunteer work, and about to join the reserves to try and get into the RMC. Then it's like, nine entire years before I can come back regular casual life.

But then I finally accepted that it will never happen. I came up with a back up plan pretty quickly though.

Man we're all wannabe soldiers (big fucking surprise there). I intend to join the army as an officer once I get my lawyer degree.

Also my bros going to basic for the USAF in 4 days. ...and he has no idea what MOS he wants.

Just realized that if everything goes to plan, I won't really have a life besides schooling and military.. ing, from when I'm 19 to 29-30. Fucking hell, second thoughts..

But finding out I have a completely incurable disease caused by nothing more than random DNA sequencing really wasn't a great thing for my confidence. I like HS. I've got lots of friends and the classes are easy. Also, I appear to be the only person here who isn't joining the army after school.
