God damn, Peter Jackson looks so much better after dropping that weight.
I find it very sad that he won't be with us much longer. He's so cool.
He sounds like he's only now reached a point where he has to slow down a bit. Most people hit that point 10-20 years earlier. He seems to have a few good years left before we will be bereft of his company. At least we can say with pride that we managed to share this planet with a man of his magnitude. Just about 98% of the human race, throughout history can't say the same. [editline]28th January 2012[/editline] He then becomes the embodiment of a modern hobbit.
Production blog 6 is there!
Can't update OP since it breaks the HD links so.. [hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyGYnBsQYxs[/hd]
Aww man, i thought the new one was out. But that would have been really fast, oh well.
Oh my god, Legolas! Still a sexy motherfucker.
I'm totally straight, but if i was ever forced to make out with a guy, it should be Legolas.
Oh man this film is going to rock my balls off.
If the movie is half as good as these behind the scenes videos it will still be awesome.
that song is amazing
If the movie is half as good as these behind the scenes videos it will still be awesome.
Yeah. These are actually very well done, both in style and content.
Wow these are great

I love it.
These are going to be such amazing movies, December cannot come fast enough.
Has anyone else noticed the blurred-out people at the end of the video? There were 2 people blurred out i believe. Does anyone know why they did this?
Has anyone else noticed the blurred-out people at the end of the video? There were 2 people blurred out i believe. Does anyone know why they did this?
Its prob a cameo character or just something that they don't want to spoil now
Why are they making it 3D? Why are they trying to make it such a big deal? I don't see the appeal of it. Maybe it's because my right eye is oblique so 3D wont work. Can someone in here that have seen a 3D movie say if it's good or bad?
Out of the 7-8 3D movies i have seen, only 1 was actually cooler/better with the 3D effect. and that was a horror movie since it really adds something scary to it. Its pure gimmick and just a way to attract more people, no idea why they choose to film in 3D with The Hobbit since it looks like just more work
On a side note, was watching some video's and came on the the latest video of Chritopher Lee He looks so old (89) and tired and yet he still acts in 3 movies at the moment

Remove all of my organs and give* them to this man, so that he may live with the health of my youth. NOW.
Why don't we do this?
[hd]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cTUQi8HBlg4[/hd] Part 8
If this video was about Star Wars they'd be getting so much shit about those green screens.
If this video was about Star Wars they'd be getting so much shit about those green screens.
I doubt it. If you've seen the appendices on LOTR, then you know that Peter Jackson uses physical sets and miniatures (and 'bigatures') as much as humanly possible. The Star Wars prequels, on the other hand, often used green screen for entire environments.
Part 8 made me cry
oh christ the end of #7 was hilarious
