Not really, but thanks for trying
Not really, but thanks for trying
No problem.
This is essentially what you would be doing to yourself if you went through with this, except it would be by choice. If that animal had a choice, I don't think it would choose what you are thinking about doing...
maybe because animals are fucking stupid and cant reflect over their own lives jackass
...not sure how that applies to the discussion.
Well they aren't helping. Say you wanted a bike, and 50 people tried to convince you how stupid you are for wanting a bike. So yah, I try.
Your analogy isn't quite perfect. There isn't too much controversy surrounding bikes. Tattoos on the other hand... How about I just fix your analogy? Say you wanted a bike, and asked a bunch of people what kind of bike you should get. But all of the people you ask know that most people who buy bikes: a) end up looking like a douchebag riding their bike around, b) pretty quickly regret buying a bike, or c) all of the above Consequently, most people you ask say that you should probably reconsider buying a bike, or should wait until you're a bit older and more level-headed. Why would you be surprised by this?

Mate of mine has a star just like that. At least he got it on his shoulder where it has a degree of subtlety though.
Just cause you want to get an horrid tatoo of your favorite shit doesn't mean anyone of us would want to know you are going to act like an idiot.
Good tip, bro!
Get something personal, not something that you'll grow out of in 10 years. I can't understand why anyone would get branded with something commercial - especially on their forearm. If you're going to get something like that (especially that fucking logo), why not just get a Costco logo tattooed across your forehead. You'll get paid for it! I'm getting a tattoo for myself in the next 2 months. I'm drawing my tattoo entirely myself and I'm going to have it done in a place where I could sell myself on the streets without it being seen. Also, I literally just google searched all four of your images on the first try. Seriously dude, learn to be creative.

That "fucking logo" is the drumskin on Ringo's drums, it's not mentioned anywhere else. So fuck you, that's why I want it. If you google nautical star, you'll get one. If you google Helter Skelter, you'll find them. If you google Sgt Pepper's logo, you'll find one. If you google Abbey Road, you'll find the album. I just want them walking. [editline]25th March 2011[/editline] So saying "I googled those" doesn't make your point any better. I draw myself, but I don't want anything like that. I want something Beatles related. [editline]25th March 2011[/editline] You're entire post had nothing to do with why I wanted tattoo, you lose.
Why are you trying to defend your stupid decision so much? If you think it's good, do it. Why do you need to argue or prove something? It kinda feels like you're insecure about your decision.
Because you guys keep bringing it up again and again and again and again saying how stupid it is. [editline]25th March 2011[/editline] Peace kids, social life awaits [editline]25th March 2011[/editline] [sp]you'll all still be here when I get back of course, I'm not worried[/sp]
Fuck these dudes man. I reckon if you want a real discussion with the results you want, you should post on a tattoo forum or something. I think your idea is great. All these idiots fail to see why you actually want the tattoo. Stop telling the man that tattoos are stupid. You will never change his mind or anyone else that wants a tattoo. The tattoo is for himself and not to show other people he likes a band. This thread is just frustrating me. He knows it's permanent and he won't regret it. So shut the fuck up. I'll be called an idiot, but I say don't wait. Book it in next week. PS: I know I'm not being much help at all. But these dickheads are just pissing me off.
You sound like the most stuck up little bitch ever. If you need a forum's help for deciding which tattoo you should get, you're not ready for one. Everyone is giving you valid advice and opinions, and you're just ignoring and acting like you're too good for it. FYI, tattoos can lower your chances significantly for getting a decent job. Whether you still want to get it or not, it's a fact. But it's okay, I see you don't mind working in a coffee shop your whole life, that's cool.
Well thanks, but I'm not going to look like a retard with a Beatles tattoo, every other tattoo people get is usually one of those tribal bands around their arms. THAT'S retarded.
Coming from the guy who wants a nautical star on his wrist? LOL If you want a tattoo, get a tattoo. Simple as that. You don't need other people voting in polls to see what tattoo you should get.
You shouldn't ask what other people want to see on you. (As said, your employer wants to see none) You shouldn't ask what other people want to see on themselves. (Almost all of us want to see none) Why are you asking for opinion on tattoo? It should be what YOU want to see on YOURSELF.
Because you guys keep bringing it up again and again and again and again saying how stupid it is. Getting a second opinion is always a good idea. Getting a second opinion from you dickweeds is not. There are a shitload of well paying jobs where tattoos are acceptable. You guys have no idea who this guy is and what he wants to do with his life apart from get a tattoo. Most jobs that deny you a job for having a tattoo would be a fucking boring one anyway, like 9-5 office bullshit. This is the creative board for gods sake, artists do not get denied work because of tattoos. If anything they're praised for it. Tattoos are art and you all need to recognize this and learn to appreciate it or shut your mouths. It's only your body. If you fail to see any good in tattoos then why are you in this thread in the first place? To flame. Typical facepunch retards wanting to ruin someones fun.

Why would getting a second opinion from us be any different from anywhere else? Most of the people around the art section are incredibly blunt with their opinions, and that's what the OP got. I for one love tattoos, but I also see no originality in most of the OP's choices. Plus the fact that they'd look pretty terrible where he plans to place them. He wanted a second opinion and bitched about it like a whiny child, if it's something he wants he should just do it without asking an online forum for what to do.

OP didn't like my suggestion.
i always love it when cool people on the internet make assumptions about the lives of absolute strangers
Only proves that he's insecure. Calling others nolivers to make himself feel better.
also i love the hypocrisy of this thread's posts
...not sure how that applies to the discussion.
my obvious fucking point being that the animal would not have chosen to get a tattoo because its brain is even smaller than yours can you believe that listen bitch you want a tattoo you get a tattoo don't come on here getting all pissy and bitchy on us because you're an undecisive little maggot i am now for abortion in cases of incest
Peace kids, social life awaits
For us, yes. For you it ends once you get one of those silly tatoos.
My father has a tattoo of a heart with his name and his 3rd wife's name. My mother is his 5th wife. I also have a step mother.
Guys, just let him do what he wants. 10 years from now when he's regretting the decision, we can all laugh at his inability to follow proper advice.
We're not stopping him in any way. This is a forum. We're as effective in stopping him getting a tat as being mentally retarded is stopping rebecca black from being a pop star.
Abbey Road one would make you look like a hipster IMO.
