This fucked him out of getting some unemployment papers thanks to the misconduct part and the post is asking if he should get a lawyer to sue their asses.

His boss apparently immediately hired a lawyer after firing him which is pretty good shorthand for "oh fuck i just did something blatantly illegal".

Does he even need a lawyer at that point? The car was stolen, straight up. He got fired, but the car was still stolen, that's just a criminal offence for the boss.
