I used to try to skateboard and failed pretty bad. I got annoyed with other skaters around where I live, because I liked to just cruise around on my board (should've got a longboard really, but they're a bit clunky for riding around pavements) and they'd call me a poser that can't skate. I couldn't really understand how riding the board wasn't skating.
I longboard, but only very occasionally because I don't exactly live in a good area for it, and I'm the only person I know who does it. I mostly BMX now, I find that much more fun, which is a shame because I've spent quite a lot of money on longboards. Plus Longboarding is embarrasing and people stare at you, on a BMX no one looks at you weird because everyone rides bikes, then I bust out a 180 or a nice footjam and everyone starts staring and I'm like "Awwww yeeeaaaahhh"

I used to skateboard, then I started going to a skate park and the people who were actually good at it and went there often were nice. I stopped later because there were also a lot of dicks (the usual annoying pot heads) there so I got a longboard and started riding that. Biking rules all, though. I have all the Tony Hawk games up to Proving Grounds...those were good times. Now I play the Skate games.
Skatings fun, especially in a group because the betters of the group can help other people. Also asshole skaters/posers tend to get the abuse they deserve around here...

Yeah, I have 3 skater friends, all of them are in the top classes at school, not saying stupid people are pricks, but atleast their sensible enough to do good work. None of them get in fights (or I live under a rock) and they're all cool. So this is all bullshit about all skaters being dicks. Obviously there is going to be a sub-division of groups within all comunities, BMXers and Scooterereres for example, they're not [I]all[/I] arseholes.

Brand that a bunch of kids buy, skate for a few days then claim they "used to skate". And a few of my friends have been talking about Anti-Hero decks is there anythings special about them?
I skate every now and then with 2-3 friends.
It's a relaxing hobby were you can manage to accomplish several different tricks.
It's also a bit hard, and random where you land on the board.
I hurt my feets and legs very often.
But it's not that bad.
why dont you just buy a blank deck? they're cheaper and better (depending)
