It is an easy cheap fix I am suggesting that hits better than most acrylic pieces you will find at the headshop for a fraction of a cost.

I had the advantage of already having bought spare hardware [I tinker a lot], but it should be pretty fucking easy to find a head shop and 2 dollars in quarters.

You shouldn't be torching your pot that much, you are wasting THC. In my experience, the best way to smoke is to inhale slowly and pass the lighter over the bowl a couple times. Another method is to hold the lighter and inhale so that the flame is as close to the weed as possible without touching. It results in way smoother hits in my experience.
