Loving the facts there.
Sweden has gun control.
Not once have I been told that the U.S is basically a violent hell on earth.
Although, in some ways, it really is.
I'd rather not have guns easily accessible, obviously, if you know where to go. You can always get one, here in Sweden as well.
Obviously, the crimes that are committed are not the product of guns, they are the product of individuals. Guns however, make it a whole lot easier.
I can't help but bring up school shootings. Imagine if they didn't have guns, I'm sure a lot less people would have died. If any.
I don't really care that much about the U.S though, I think it's pretty fucked up, and I doubt it will ever come back.
Gun control is a whole lot better in sweden though, from what I've read. Plus almost every single person that owns a gun knows how to properly use and keep it safe thanks to the conscription.
The conscription in Sweden?
It's gone now, and it was barely there before.
Everyone had to apply, but only a handful actually did basic training.

Oh right, that's norway, my bad.
Also, whoever said Norweighan police don't carry guns.
That don't actually carry them on their person, but they're in the cars.
Imo, pretty stupid, there's always that one fucked up guy who wont hesitate to kill a cop.
Australia? Brainwashed? Please, you need to evaluate the fact that one Aussie is not representative of the nation as a whole. Sure we're not big on guns as the U.S (for example) but believe me, we're not all brainless fools who spout out propoganda. Contrary to popular belief, we do have guns and we're not told to be anti-gun by the government - all the state governments do is enforce gun control (more rigidly so since the Port Arthur Massacre of 1998). Before you jump to conclusions, guns have not been emphasised as our culture and we have not seen much use for it outside of recreational ventures.
So I'll take slight offense to the notion that we're 'brainwashed', because we're not. Aussies have not had firearms as a neccessary part of life and the government hasn't put much awareness on it because of other issues.
