There's a dealer by me which specializes in used cars, used as in leased for two years with around 30k miles at most on them with most cars having 15k and my mom got a mazda from them, the price being exactly what the value was stated as online when we were looking at finance loans.
Also for other posters, Tesla will be recycling old batteries that get swapped out and to use 'but production pollutes as well!' as a argument to not use electric cars is idiotic because producing more combustion cars causes more pollution when they're being used. With electric cars after the production you don't pollute any more with the exception of electricity required which is regardless still going to be generated by renewable sources for the majority of car owners.
Yeah, manufacturing pollutes, too fucking bad we can still pollute less by using electric cars and making more homeowners install solar panels to help charge their cars, make coastal towns utilize more wind mill farms and inland towns with plenty of sun use solar farms to further eliminate the use of coal and natural gas. You eliminate pollution from two different sources out of three, yet because one of those three still cause pollution people still want to do all three!?
Sure, buy old cars, its better anyway. I'd rather see people buy old cars and buy electric cars and not new combustion cars. Buy a used hybrid if possible too, I know I would.
