Tan vs Green teams suck.
We use the following - Every team has a uniform they choose to wear. They are distinctively known for the equipment they are wearing.
We just find to different patterns and separate them.No tan vs green or other stuff.More often we just remember how our teammates look like and COORDINATE our movement.
Worst case scenario - We bring out a red/white danger line and have like 2mm of it noticeable so you don't lose the camouflage effect and remain a good enemy.
The issue is that most people who play aren't organized teams. Many are young kids, who are lucky to have any kind of camo at all. We simply don't have the kind of organization you guys do because our fields try to make money off catering towards all players.
The other alternative is to have red or blue tape around your arm to indicate your team.

we do that here

Yeah I think a safe bet is maybe five or six people total will be wearing gear and camo at my field.
And the other ten or fifteen are little kids wearing sweatshirts and crossdraws.

Ye, but as said.Everyone has camo in our places and we try to designate them towards NATO or Warsaw pact nation types since it's easier to understand.

That's like every game we play here.

It's mostly because we don't exploit the living shit out of airsoft and make it into a world famous game but a hobby of many military lovers and try to limit it for people under 18 not to play it.We have exceptions if someone wants to play who isn't a tard. We're fine with kids unless they act like idiots.
We don't even exploit it. We don't even advertise, but if we don't let kids play that the field can't afford to pay rent and insurance and etc. because we'd get like six or seven people a day show up.
Typical day at HVA (my field)

Insurence ? We just have the kids parents sign papers that they don't make the field owner take responsibility.
Also looks like a beginners field.
The field has only been around for something like two, going on three years. We make them sign waivers but we still need insurance and rent.
Also we figure that if we let kids play, and if we're friendly, call our hits and are generally good players and encourage them to be too than they'll look up to us and mimic us as they get older. Because our Airsoft community isn't huge in NY.
I love my field, honestly. But I think it's be awesome to see NATO vs. Warsaw. I'd buy a Russian kit any day of the week if that rule suddenly popped up. But that'd be an easy way to lose business around here.
NATO vs Warsaw is boring, believe me.It's more fun to have some nationalistic extremists vs goverment troops.
we have a lot of kids here (only all-agers team in the province) but lots of them own gear and those who don't are usually new players who are getting gear (guys on the right)

(guys on left were just wearing t-shirts but all have bdu, incl. me in the back)
My PSO-1 scope came in yesterday. I brought it to my friend's, where an epic struggle ensued to put it on. I had to hammer it to the end of the rail (the scope is very sturdy) and latch it into place. We sighted it in to a nice enough accuracy. If it doesn't fall off or anything, it will definitely have been a good buy. It looks very sexy. :v:
My friend is able to get me some military issue multicam for 80$ for an entire set. Good deal Y/N?
Got my TAG Banshee today, most comfortable vest/plate carrier I've ever owned. I'll post some pics tomorrow once I get it all setup.
No, that's the semifinished prototype. I'll know what else needs to be done in another day or two. Its possible that its all the way complete though.
So is it literally just a shell that the M1100 internals go in? How hard's the installation?
Quickly guys.
Mystery box or the order I want?
box
wow
my dad said no
don't fucking buy the BOX
its literally full of javelins, and rebranded jgs
Yea, I agree just get what you want. Crazy basterd, The Ultimate^
So is it literally just a shell that the M1100 internals go in? How hard's the installation?
It might require a custom install. He mentioned that he drilled some holes in the receiver for the magazine tube, but that might be something he can ship out. Besides that, its literally just replacement parts, so its as simple as a disassembly. Minor filing will also be likely, but I'll probably be making an install video or something.
Only thing you really have to change is putting yourself on an external rig, as the grip has no room for the gas chamber (and those suck anyways), and you need to get a DE M1014 trishot for the stock, grip, and forearm.
But yeah, 2 of the internal parts were redesigned and made out of the aircraft grade aluminum, so basically nothing breaks, and if you combine that with the external rig solution, you just solved every single problem with the M1100, besides shellcatchers and such.
That's neat. If I get a Maruzen shotgun it'll probably be an 870 because I like pump-action shotguns, but that 1100 is definitely tempting. I was thinking that if I set it up with an air rig, I could increase the pressure beyond that of green, and maybe even get viable 10-pellet spreads. Ten pellets per trigger pull at 300fps from a semi auto shotgun would be awesome.

You can get 10 pellet spreads on green gas with the M1100 without issue, probably out to about 100 feet. It really is a whole different animal from the M870.
In my M870, with the airsoft surgeon upgrade and external CO2, I'm still only doing like 6-8 at a time.

Oh, the 1100 is more powerful than the 870? Hmm, that changes things. I mean, the shells are more for novelty and cool more than anything else, but in terms of practicality a semi auto that can put 10 pellets out at once is a lot scarier than a 5-pellet pump-action, especially given that I already have the latter thanks to my ACM.
Just how powerful is it with 10 pellets? And if I use, say, 3, what about then? Would it be worthwhile to have, say, different CQB and field loads ready to go? And can you manually eject shells using the charging handle, or do you need to fire them to eject?
Semi-auto is also like a thousand times more awesome

Also, the M1100 makes the loudest fucking sound of any airsoft gun I know of, it echoes indoors and outside, and generally makes people retreat and call their hits on near misses. I can also claim many different shots with 3+ kills from one shell.
Having different loads is totally doable, and you can also use .12g for that extreme birdshot effect. You can eject them with the charging handle to an extent, but not very reliably. However, due to the new design of the extractor, I imagine its totally possible. At the very least, you can open the port and mess with the shell until it falls out.
I'll do some detailed testing for you guys sometime, my neighborhood of townhouses does not really like the noise, so I have to shoot it in extreme moderation. I'll at least get an indoor video with my phone tomorrow when I go play.

Oh yeah, Schaap is going to be selling the reinforced internal parts separately at affordable prices, so you can just get them instead of the kit if need be.
I'm not sure about the 1018 kit (1018s aren't really my thing, I like Saigas), but I'm definitely interested in the M1100, provided those extractors become available. Nothing pisses me off quite like dumping several hundred bucks into something and then having components become discontinued, it's something I ran into a lot with my Warhammer hobby.
Are there any good shell catcher setups?
