Hey guys I got a reply from AMS about their 25% price stuff. I have a $2 discount over ASGI for a CYMA CM046. I also get a free spring uzi. Should I buy from AMS? Also, if I want a shotty, what should I get. (I wanna mod it so I can have a wooden pump grip)
Buy from ASGI, and, before felix comes, a maruzen shotgun.
Buy from ASGI, and, before felix comes, a maruzen shotgun.
what about felix? [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] where is he going [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] did you mean cums [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] im so confused

Wat? [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] What am I doing? [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] Oh [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] But still, what?
Back on topic. So AMS, cheaper and free uzi (or mask) or ASGI. Also, shotty for around $50.
i still dont understand? [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] are you saying felix would object to a maruzen? [editline]5th June 2012[/editline] even though we both have one, and love them?
Buy on asgi or evike, look for any trishot shotgun on those two websites but run it by us first.
still really confused

I think he thinks that Felix will recommend a Maruzen shotgun, even though that's totally my thing.
i know
I'm getting a trishot just for the hell of it. But aren't they all made by the same company and rebranded?
I'm getting a trishot just for the hell of it. But aren't they all made by the same company and rebranded?
yes unless its a marui
Well yeah, thats kinda obvious.
Well yeah, thats kinda obvious.
i thought they were the same thing until i was told otherwise by someone from reddit
why would you buy from ams just for a 2 cent shitty spring uzi [editline]4th June 2012[/editline] and a 2 whole dollar discount on an imo mediocre gun
Shotty: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3132 Any ideas on how to mod this? AEG: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5639 I wanna do some weathering on this one (blowtorch, scratches) could the externals of this gun take it?
don't think a blowtorch would be a great idea. But yeah, people love weathering Cyma AK's.
AEG: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5639 I wanna do some weathering on this one (blowtorch, scratches) could the externals of this gun take it?
Look at pictures from Chechnya and Africa and the Middle East to get an idea for what they look like in real life and copy the look. Steel wool, scotch brite pads, acrylic paints and wood stain are good things to have on hand while doing that

Also, for the shotty, I'm thinking if I can put a wooden pump grip thing on it. Because reasons.
The AK will be fine. And I highly doubt you'll be able to fit a real M3 forearm on a cheap tri-shot.
I'm wondering if the externals for the CYMA can take the weathering or if the metal and wood are so cheap I shouldn't do anything with it. What sort of damage does that represent?
Actually I don't think they even make wood forearms for the M3. If they do they probably cost hundred(s)
No, I'll make the forearm myself. I know a guy who's dad owns a woodshop. I can just cut it out and somehow attach it.
I'm pretty sure they're not made to be taken down. But more power to ya I guess.
I'm pretty sure they're not made to be taken down.
As someone who just disassembled a Marui tri-shot, they are NOT meant to be taken down. AT ALL. And god help you if you accidentally open the mechbox because that shit will never, ever go back together.
Why do you guys dislike AMS so much? I have never had a problem with them.
Why do you guys dislike AMS so much? I have never had a problem with them.
I ordered some mags from them once, it went just fine and they were very helpful. They also have some interesting connections with manufacturers, like they can source A&K parts for example. Most of us are just off-put by their advertising and branding, which seem to be targeting clearsofters and don't give the impression of being neutral or trustworthy.
don't think a blowtorch would be a great idea. But yeah, people love weathering Cyma AK's.
I did that once
