If I play my cards right I might end up with a 20 year old MGC Glock 17. C:
Wait, is JGSDF the greener/lighter looking flecktarn-ish pattern?
If so, then I saw the vest for sale at a militaria store in Southern Taiwan for $60 USD. Might have been the soft armor, but I'm not too savvy on my gear.
Unless it was MOLLE or an IOTV look-alike it wouldn't be that special.

It looked kind of like one of those molle flcs that the taiwanese use

REAL SWORD
>CHINA SHIT
This makes me wonder. Why the hell do we get weird shit like Type 97s, Type 91s, lever actions, ZB26s, etc but we don't have anything like a VAL, VSS, Groza, mass produced Bizon conversion, etc. Call it my Russian bias, but at the same time I'm inclined to believe it's because all these companies that produce this shit come from China/Taiwan(/Japan?).

Chinashit gun irl obviously, not to say that it's a bad quality airsoft gun, holy shit. They also happen to make a Type 56, chinashit AKM, which works great but I refuse to ever consider buying.

Airsoft is way bigger in Asia and since most of the high end airsoft companies are from Taiwan, Hong Kong and Japan they listen to what the Asians want before anyone else and then after that produce a million M4s and SCARs because they think that's what sells in America.
There are some rare occasions when airsoft companies listen to people outside of Aisa though, like the G&G RK-95, Ares Beryl and ASG Scorpion EVO 3, which I'm pretty sure is made by CZ themselves and not made in Asia.
I got my child (G&P M4) back from Evike, and it works a helluva lot better than it did when I first got it. Mine was definitely a lemon. They did a repair on it and now the BBs are really flying further, faster and straighter, and I didn't even turn up the hopup yet.
I'm going to order some better biodegradable BBs on AirsoftGI and maybe add in some other things like a barrel rod (if I can find one on their site, I haven't yet), silicone oil, and if I'm feeling dangerous, a multishot or something neat like a red dot.

That's exactly right. I asked the guys at G&G the same question, since their "coming soon" catalog included guns like the T65K2, T86, and T91, but no new AKs, to which their reply was "Tokyo Marui makes the Type 89 because they're Japanese. Real Sword makes the QBZ because they're Chinese. We're already doing more than we're expected to by making guns like the FNC. Guns like AN-94 and AK-12 are the latest from Russia. If anybody is going to make airsoft versions of them, the first will be the Russians, and THEN us. But if Tokyo Marui is going to jump the gun and make an AN-94, so be it."
Basically, nowadays, manufacturers always try to let a company from the mother country of a gun make the first model of that gun before making their own. It's a sign of respect among the companies, or the Taiwanese companies at least.

That's just ridiculous to expect when the only Russian airsoft manufacturers are people building custom guns from deactivated real steel that cost upwards of 1000 USD. Like if Russia had a major airsoft manufacturer I could understand wanting to let the Russian company be first, but there just isn't one to make it before an Asian manufacturer.

Welp, that puts us at a bit of a dead end huh. Obviously some more obscure Russian guns are getting pushed through, but very slowly. I always thought it was the airsoft companies being slow to catch on, but this makes me think it's an indirectly forced slowness. It will be a long time before we get to see VALs and Grozas.
Although Izhmash itself just announced they're working on some airsoft guns (I guess just some AK-74s and the like?), no? Gives a bit of hope I guess.

The thing is, Izhmash doesn't make every Russian gun though. They can only do AKs and the AN-94. Even RPKs are made in a different factory by a different company.
[sp]LCT hinted that they're interested in making an AK-12 and AN-94 in a magazine article[/sp]

Molot is reportedly making the RPK-74M though so we're good on that end

If LCT actually makes the AK-12, I don't care how much it costs but they can have my money. As well as the Canadian retailer who puts the 9001% markup on it.

Yeah I was disappointed when I looked that up like, 4 hours ago lol. Even if they did, the VAL and Groza are probably not widely appreciated even in Russia.
What was that airsoft website that had the premade loadouts for sale?
They had a bunch of cool stuff.
