idk I'd buy the pp19 for a wallhanger and not really a frequent skirmisher
it sounds like if stuff breaks on it you'll be hunting for parts, and even at $320 its the first "rendition" and I'd wait until a revision to fix any potential issues

Isn't it a standard gearbox though? I can't see the externals blowing up, so everything else is replaceable.
I think I saw somewhere that 130 round. Midcaps for it would be $25 each.
Nylon fiber midcap magazine, 160 rounds.
From their website

Well the magazine part seems like the worst
They aren't expensive to replace but inconvenient

And they are a pain to find propper gear for
Apparently RPK mag pouches fit them, but still

and at 160 rounds a mag, I'm sorry, it's a cool concept but I don't feel like it's practical
I still really want one though
Do you think the Bizon will have parts interchangable with AK parts. I'm wondering if one could mount one of these on it: http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=25_107_290&products_id=29893&osCsid=43790afc243b368178670f20ccee6baa
Or interchange for an AK stock.

160 is a pretty decent number though, seeing as most mids are 100-120
Bizon with an RPK stock
sounds neat

but think about how awkward it will be to carry even 2 extra mags

It'll have a dovetail mount for sure apparently
not sure about stocks

They're tubes. Throw them in any standard AR mag pouch. Might bulge a little but they'll fit.
Definitely easier than carrying P90 mags.

well I have a 2-cell quad-AK mag pouch which I imagine will be able to hold 2 right there
I mean sure its awkward but 480 rounds is a very decent combat load. I can go for half a day more or less on a 350 round FAL highcap so I think its manageable.
cyma, dboys, and vfc stocks all have slightly different measurements so it's purely up to the Bizon makers whether they're based off of anything at all
honestly, waiting for the Vityaz or Val because I don't feel like buying P90 pouches or something
The reason I ask is because I really want to make this happen:

I like tastefully tactical AKs. I'd jizz more over an AK-12 than even the sexiest wood and steel AKM with bakelite mags. But once you put an M4 stock on an AK, or any Russian gun other than an Izhmash AR-15, that's just too far, even if you've done nothing else.

it just looks weird
it's like there's a vertical line dividing two different guns

[editline]30th August 2012[/editline]
imo the 102/4/5 with MOE/CTR looks really nice and idk why

I don't really like those, but I saw a 105 with a UBR once that looked really nice.

160 rounds is easily plenty per magazine. Carry 3 for all of $50 extra and you have 480 rounds. I don't get why people desire to carry 1000+ rounds on them into every game. Suppression is only useful in instances where wood or other "twangy" cover is involved, and there's a certain distance at which you won't be spending too many rounds to get people out. Aside entirely from the fact that it's an SMG, it's "meant" for close quarters, and has the size to match.
I really want a PP-19
it's sex
My plan would be to carry two spare mags in RPK pouches or something. That's enough ammunition for awhile, one on either hip.
I want a Vityaz that takes MP5 mags

Suppression can work pretty much anywhere. I lugged my M60E4 to a CQB game and used it there, I didn't get any kills but managed to prevent the other team from leaving one particular building by putting 50 rounds into a doorway any time I saw movement, allowing our flag carrier to get to an objective point unopposed. Timebomb said it single-handedly won us the match. I've also had field games where I used my AK and did enough full-auto suppression to allow my teammates to maneuver effectively. Point is, suppression can be an exceptionally useful tactic, even if you have a rifle instead of a dedicated MG, and I can definitely see why some people would want lots and lots of ammo.
That said, 160 per mag is plenty.
