I did it once with the Armenians but they were no fun and I ended up dominating over them all day every day.

funny that no one gets it because

How many of you regular players travel between states/long distances for games? Is that at all a regular occurrence?
Hey guys, been a while since I posted here.
My first game of Airsoft with my own gun, the G&G UMP was a blast.
The gun is absolutely fantastic and a worthy purchase, and looks great with my recently purchased Aim-point sight and fore-grip.
Just a quick question, the aim-point dot needs adjusting as it is too far to the left and the BBs aren't firing close to the center, I've been trying to open the cap on the side of the aimpoint to get to what might be a dial to adjust the dot sideways, anyone know what to do as its impossible to turn with my hands, unless you can't turn it.

While your sight could be a cheap clone and do it differently, most of the sights are adjusted just like the real things. There's a diagram in here so you can see: http://www.aimpoint.com/uploads/tx_pxaaimpoint/Manual_CompM3ML3_ENG_11432-1_LoRes.pdf
I just use pliers to turn them lol
Post pictures. If it's an actual aimpoint replica, it should have two nuts held with a rubber piece, one on top of the tube. one on the side. Unscrew the nuts and under these you'll find screws, you can turn these with a small coin or a screwdriver if you wish. The top one adjusts for elevation, the side one adjusts for windage.
fwiw, my replica aimpoint doesn't actually adjust. The dot is always in the same spot, not that it matters because this is airsoft.
I'm trying to find a good magnifier for it, I think you and I have the same one. It gets good range already but I want to IR Hop it.

my gun lol
Also worth mentioning is that a 4 joule sniper would be shooting over 650fps with a .2g, so I'm highly doubting you're allowed to use that at any field.
At our faux milsim fields semi auto and boltie snipers are allowed up to 600 FPS with a "DM" patch (but only a 100 foot MED, of course). Within 50 wouldn't be too far a jump I'd think?

Are you saying your shots are off, not just your sight? If your gun isn't shooting straight then you'll need to figure out what's causing that too.

When I calculated it, the fps was like 656 or so, which would mean you'd need an even higher limit than 650.
Blacksheep has the highest fps limits of any American milsim group (550 with a .25g for snipers) which works out to less than 600fps with a .2g. As of now I haven't heard of any event or field with a 650fps limit, and your field is the only one I've heard of with a 600fps limit.

The gun is brand new, I highly doubt it is the gun itself as the BBs don't veer off in multiple directions, its most likely just the aim-point is out of line

As quoted from the gun rules posted on our forums:
Sniper Rifles:
Sniper Rifles are any Rifle shooting up to 530 FPS with a .20 bb.
Sniper Rifles will be Bolt Action and or A.E.G. with Auto function disabled.
Sniper Rifles Must have a Magnified optic with Crosshairs. Red Dots are prohibited.
Sniper Rifle should resemble a real System. A MP5 with a 550mm Barrel is not considered
a Sniper system.
Sniper with "DM" Patch Velocity limits are 600fps with a .20 bb, and must be approved pre-game
Designated Marksman Rifles:
DM Rifles are Rifles that shoot between 400 and 450 FPS with a .20 bb.
DM Rilfes Should be based on Systems used in today's Militaries of the World.
M16s, SR25's, AR10's, Long barreled AK Variants, Augs, M14/M21/M1A1 Variants are all great rifles to start with.
DM Rifles Must have a Magnified optic w/ Crosshair. Red Dots are prohibited. ACOG's with Crosshairs recommended.
DM's with "DM" Patch are allowed 530FPS with a .20 bb, and must be approved pre-game.
SAWs:
SAWs will shoot no more then 400 FPS with a .20 bb.
SAWs may have a Red Dot, but it is not required.
SAWs must have at least Iron Sights.
SAWs must be based on real squad auto weapons. MP5's with Box Mags are not allowed.
Assault Rifles:
Must shoot no faster then 415fps with a .20 bb
Assault Rifles Must have at least Iron sights. Red-Dots and Acogs are optional.
They don't ask their home team's main guys to chrono, who are the only ones that actually want to run 600 FPS setups. Once upon a time I got shot by one of those things, and from over 200 feet away it felt like I was having a knife jammed in my shoulder. They have the rules set up so stupid that it's almost impossible to actually run a proper DMR, with 430 FPS DMRs getting a 100 foot MED the same as 600 FPS monsters.

What's the big deal with that? Every pistol and AEG I have can shoot over 100 feet with ease, and most engagements happen at long range anyways. If you're running a DMR you should be actively ensuring your over 100 feet away for your own safety anyways.
You can certainly make a DMR shoot far at 430fps too, my SR-25 and SVD are both at about 400 fps and get well over 200 feet of range.

It could be that your hopup was turned up or down accidentally by you or when you bought it, assuming it was tested before you left, and or got it shipped. Might as well check your sights though.

Could be, next time I have it out I'll adjust the hop up, but I'm still certain its the aim-point, I just need to find something to open the adjustment cap because I can't do it for shit.
take the aimpoint off, and check to see if the bbs are actually going off center or of its just that your aimpoint is not adjusted.
if they are going off center even without the aimpoint, i would say that you should take the inner barrel and hop up out of the gun and try to re-align them. you do that by turning the hup up on while the barrel is out of the gun and looking down the barrel at the bump made by the hop up. your goal is to get that as perfectly on the very top center of the barrel window as possible. then, put the barrel and hop up back in the gun as vertical as possible, and test the gun.

In my opinion, it's more to do with tactical movement and how a 100 foot MED is only really suitable, I would think, for true snipers and not DMs. By definition the DM should be sticking close to his squad, and may end up engaging people close by; I don't want to see the DM lose flexibility because we moved into some thicker cover. These "milsim" fields have a lot of campfests and range pissing contests as is because nobody wants to move over open ground, and the DMs already just wander off or sit in one place and rape anyone who isn't one. It's not unlike an AWPfest in real life actually. If the FPS limit and MED came down for them it's possible they would be more willing to move. As it stands even assault AEGs are at 30 feet for the MED now and nobody wants to push up most of the time.
Nobody needs 600 FPS, or even 500 FPS to run a good DMR. My M16 is just over 400 FPS and it can hit 300 feet with mindblowing accuracy.
its shite
single shot copy of maruzen ca870

Have you ever fired one?
A friend of mine had the sawed off CA870 and it was fantastic. You just have to realize that you're making a lightweight pump-action sniper rifle and not a CQB death machine.
[editline]7th November 2012[/editline]
Also, they're way cheaper overseas because Evike is pants on head retarded.

yeah
exactly
its bad for doing shotgun things
yeah

Yeah, but that doesn't mean its bad for airsoft things. You can operate and fire a pump considerably faster than a bolt, and there's a plethora of aftermarket parts for them. Also, you can take G&P externals and throw Maruzen gas internals inside for cheaper than buying the G&P parts to begin with.
a lot of evike kiddies will still buy it thinking it's the most elite cqb assault body slayer though
