Just traded a CA G3 with midcaps for an ACM M500 with a scabbard and ATI folding stock. Pretty happy with the deal.
Anybody have experience with the WE L85? I am thinking of picking one up and give it an RA-Tech bukkake.

Been a pretty longtime airsoft subforum lurker, first time posting in here. Never owned my own airsoft gun (although I'm co-captain of my school's air rifle shooting team, and have plenty of experience using air rifles), mostly because I live in Hawaii and there's like 2 airsoft/paintball fields on the island both an hour+ drive from where I live. My sister's ex was really into airsoft and he sort of introduced it to me, so I want to get into it now. So I read the sticky, and this seems like a decent first gun: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=408_418&products_id=11820. Recommendation? Side note, I noticed TaiwanesePrick is an airsoft subforum regular. I'm Taiwanese as well so that's a interesting first that I've seen on FP so far.

Anyways, that's a fine starter gun, although the scope carry handle is not too handy due to terrible eye relief. (although the real one has the same problem) Also, I'm not sure if he's on your island, but our man CCharlton is on deployment in Hawaii for some period of time, so maybe he'll be able to teach you the basics some time.

I've heard nothing but praise about JG's G36 family, so it seems to be a great gun, not only for starters.
my only warning about JG G36's are be wary of the hopup and replace it if you can. [editline]28th November 2012[/editline] dont worry about it if you cant do tech work, just keep an eye out. Mine fucked up somehow and was preventing bb's from chambering
Your hood? Bitch you be trippin
nigga my name is Doug which starts with a D like David, you bitches be in my hood yo i've been at HVA longer than all of you sluts

JG's G36s are really good stuff; if you want an excellent affordable G36, JG and SRC are the way to go. They last forever, and perform superbly. No matter if you're just getting into the sport, or have been collecting and playing for years and just want a G36, they're the right brand for your buck. [editline]28th November 2012[/editline] yay pageking, have some F-5 aggressors!
Thanks for the positive responses guys. There's 4 left in stock right now from 6 when I checked yesterday, so I should probably consider ordering it soon. There's a few guys at school who go airsofting back in the mountains sometimes, just jeans and tshirts no real loadouts like the kind you guys have here. Not sure if it's entirely legal since the area where they usually play is right off of a public hiking trail. Somewhat understandable though since the nearest real field is really inconvenient to get to from where we live.

Also, assuming its on a state/national park, contact the park manager/authority of some kind and ask politely if he minds you and your friends using some land to play. Be sure to promise using biodegradeable BB's and be as polite as you can, in addition to being very respectful to the hikers and the land itself. Asking nicely can do wonders.
