where are you even gonna find an sef lower like that let alone the straight mag or wood or scope
i will admit that is incredibly sexe tho
Wood is cut down G3 wood so that's very do-able. scope I'm not worried about. Straight mags: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=9610
not same straight mags
plus hicaps
w/e I'm not that picky
I thought G3 and MP5 end caps were different?
They are. All it takes is a little bit of dremeling

didnt CA make an mp5 series with sef lowers like that? idk if they sell them separately tho
They do. They're like $40

When you use an MP5 hicap you will rapidly regret the idea. However, that 10mm MP5 looks amazing.
I'll probly use 9mm mags just cuz I prefer midcaps. Basically I just want to do wood furniture and maybe an SEF lower made to replicate bakelite.

Going back to Taiwan over the summer, should probably pick up some really cheap gear now that I'm actually getting into airsoft. Recommendations, TaiwanesePrick?
I'm really sick of ASGI taking real world military pictures that they have nothing to do with and slapping them together with any random recruiting/buy-from-us/new sale post they have at that point in time, without any disclaimer to the fact that it isn't ASGI in the pic. People believe that it is, and it's probably what you'd call white lying in a normal situation.

This is a low-level offense to what I'm talking about, not like the 20 or 30 other recruiting advertisements I've seen of theirs, but the comment is what reminded me to post about this at all. Their facebook page really brings out the true retard in their community. Consistently.

Facebook is retarded in general (<--- first-hand experience)
the more people that access the community, the more likely it brings in retards by the dozen along with the average person (<--- also first-hand experience)
I want to airsoft in the snow
I did once. Was supposed to today as well, but I couldn't go - my order still hasn't arrived, and I've only got one, barely working battery.
A lot of fun, until some idiot decides to climb a slippery tree and falls.
so the charging handle spring broke in my m4. I fixed it with a jury rigged rubber band stuck through the gas tube hole in the front of the receiver, set so it wound go back through, then tied to the loop in the fake bolt. it works but its janky as shit
What the serious fuck... I sent my M16 to the tech to get the trigger contacts fit, and a tight bore installed. Now when I shoot it the motor is super whiny? Fuck me! Do you adjust the motor height to fix it? And this is probably the last time I'm sending a gun to that tech.

I'm going to go ahead and assume that your Mandarin conversational skills are good, because without them, you'll get fucked over. Something to keep in mind though- no matter what you get in Taiwan that's directly airsoft related (optics, rail accessories, magazines, etc.) you WILL be getting them for far cheaper than American prices. So if you find a product you already bought at a lower price someplace else, don't feel too bad.
Now, I only went around Taipei when I went airsoft shopping. At the underground mall under the Taipei Railway Station there's Gunheaven, which has pretty good prices on optics and accessories, and sometimes they've got some great sales and promotions as well.
G&G Armament in Shilin is also worth visiting, as well as Junglegun in Nanshijiao. Something that I would definitely recommend 11/10 would be Taiwanese BDUs, since there really is no other place to get them than Taiwan, and I guarantee you that you'll be the only person within an 100 miles radius of your field that owns a set of Taiwanese ERDL or Taiwanese Marine Corps Tiger Stripe.
each BDU set can be bought for $40 each at a militaria store at Ximen station on the Taipei MRT. The store is visible right as you exit the station, and is 5 minutes walking time away from the Taiwanese military history museum, which has free admission and I don't see why you wouldn't visit.

pageking; have some F-CK-1s because only Taiwan has the nerve to name their fighters something so vulgar.
Yeah, I can speak so that should be fine. Will definitely check out Taiwanese BDUs at the places you mentioned. Huge thanks for the help.
Like I said before, I won't be going to Taiwan until the summer and I'll actually have my gun by January so between now and then I'll probably be getting some basic gear (extra mags, eye/face protection, some sort of chest rig). What prices should I be looking for for decent quality gear in local shops around here? I have no idea other than what I saw when skimming online and I don't want to pay more than is really needed for starter gear.

Chest rigs and the like can be had for almost nothing; I got an RRV for $15 at a militaria shop at the Taipei Station underground mall; but really anything under 1800 NT should be fair game. Magazines and the like shouldn't cost you more than 500 NT, and eye/facepro can be had for around 800 NT.
What about prices for aforementioned equipment in the states? Obviously more expensive, but what's a general range in USD?
an RRV would cost you anywhere from $65-100 in the US, an M4 hicap mag cost around $20-25, and eyepro/facepro could be anything depending on what you get.
so on HKpost, the tracking number I got for my Hobbyking purchase still doesnt give me a response. Should I be worried or does hobby king just take a while to ship?
