stop they put an asshole on this dog
Ugh are there any coupons for redwolf at the moment?
.410 Ar15.....my life is complete...
So I r-hopped my mg36 and now it shoots accurately out to 200 b 250 feet.... Stock JG aside from putting in the propper length barrel, r hop, and shimming/greasing. :science:
just looked some stuff up on r-hop...
tell me more, this intrigues me
There's a real big debate on how they actually function. The concept is that you take the bucking out of the equation, and replace it with bucking-esque tubing on the top of inside of your inner barrel. As the bb moves through the barrel, it contacts the hop for a longer distance and you get a much more consistent hop.
All I know is that I now outrange everyone but the guy with the r-hopped a&k svd.
I don't get it though, can you still adjust the hopup? It seems like it replaces the actual part on the inner barrel hopup windoe, and it doesn't seem to be adjustable because you cut your bucking
I might get one for my next gun

I have yet to own a s00p3r customized gun that outranges my tm g36c... it would be neat to have one
Yeah, its still adjustable. The arm is still on the hop up and pushes down on the r hop instead of a nub and bucking. The bucking actually goes over the r hop, and is only used for making an air seal now.
I installed a flat hop on my M60 and it can get 200ft shots pretty reliably. With a bit of overhop, 400fps, and angled a little, it's gotten close to 300ft in my tests. The flat hop and r-hop work by the same principle and are very similar in design, I like the flat hop because it's very easy to do and has given me a significant boost to the horizontal consistency of my shots.
Hey Notrabies, I'm considering trading for an ACM M500 if it turns out to be the 6mm version, are they good or should I steer clear?
I used one for cqb and it was awesome to the max.
They are indeed good, however, when leaks develop, they can be a pain to fix from my understanding, but I have no personal experience with them.
Also, if the loading arms break you'll have to buy a replacement set, and you can buy some custom steel ones made by Proud for $40 or so.
5 6mm shots is nothing to sneeze at for sure.

I read the guy's post on airsoftforum, he wants you to leave a small gap between the front of the r-hop and the inner barrel hole; whuzzat even for
also what material is the r hop made out of
also did you glue yours

The guy's offering some additional O-rings with it. I take it then that at the very least it's a decent gun and fun to use? I want to use a shotgun, but I don't like dicking around with shells and tri-shots are all pretty underwhelming so this seems a good choice.
I tried the Flat hop with my ICS L85a2. I was getting over 200ft of range with .25s but I had to remove it because it kept sinking into the barrel. Im going to order a Firefly buffer ruffer from japan since that is what all the DUI mods came from.
I got inspired to finally get off my ass and try and H hop. The bbs went straight down at first, then after I adjusted it to the zen spot I was enlightened. Then I put the glossy 'thane on the wood and it looks awesome and is extra super smooth.

What do you mean by sinking into the barrel?

If I were you I'd stick to the Marushin one. It's 110% worth the extra money

Full travel steel bolt with Real Sword quality could make this one of the best GBBR's ever.

And then CubeManV2 cried.
I still want my GBB APS underwater rifle with the gas capacity for a week of nonstop firing.

It will probably cost a (couple) thousand of dollars though
Lighter fluid cans make great targets.

Just arranged to trade a stock A&K M60VN with slight external damage for a HFC T77 with aftermarket metal bolt and five magazines and a ACM M500 with a set of replacement o-rings. All in all I think I got a pretty good deal.

Why are you gtting rid of the m60 already?
Why are you gtting rid of the m60 already?
I'm not, actually. I got a Mk43 very cheaply and swapped out the internals. So the Mk43 keeps the replacement spring, motor, hop and such, and the VN gets all the crappy stock A&K parts. The VN's fun, but too heavy to run-and-gun with, so the Mk43 fits the bill.
Edit: To those rating disagree, how come? I'd like to hear your input, it seems like a reasonable trade monetarily.
HFC is my least favorite company for airsoft.
[editline]4th March 2012[/editline]
Their highest selling product is disappointment.
I'd read that the main problem with the T77 is the fragile bolt, but an aftermarket one would correct this. All the other reviews I saw for that particular gun were positive. Is there something else I should be aware of?
