I have one of these things i hate it because the pistol mag pouches don't hold Glock mags, half defeating the point of a lightweight implied CQC rig.
So many pistol mag pouches have surprised me by being single stack only, its always a bummer.
The pouches are plenty wide, they're just too short. I put 2 1911 mags in each pouch, but I still need to add velcro to the bottom of the flap so it will close.
Just decide to go through a mag dry firing with my m9, since I fixed it last night. Got 80 shots from one mag, all of them fully cycling the slide and putting back the hammer. Did it again and got 78.
i'm going to need to decide what to use for a field weapon.
AK of some kind, or a bullpup weapon. Not completely kosher, but the other alternatives are not cheap or very skirmishable, and Eastern Europe = should have AKs like other members said (there was an AK in the HL2 beta, as well as one of those weird futuristic bullpup rifles). Frankly, a standard M16 isn't out of the question if you ask me (again, concept art reference here) so I'd say just roll with anything that's not uber tactical like a tricked out M4.

When you dry fire the pistol, all of the gas is going into the BBU because there's no bb in the chamber to push the plunger backwards, which siphons off the gas to shoot the round.
I need some advice from the airsoft masters. I just ordered the A&K SVD, but I ordered the wrong scope mount. It will work with the scope I believe, but not the gun itself. I have 80$ left and the only other mount that will work, the Leapers QD AK Mount, is out of stock everywhere. The one I ordered was the NC Star AK Side Rail Optics Mount, and the scope was the Airsoft GI 3-9x40 Scope. Should I spend my remaining money on a new mount, which I'd need help finding, or a good sidearm? Sorry for not posting this in the questions thread. It's going slow.
I'd send the mount back, and wait till something that works comes back in stock [editline]9th April 2012[/editline] Or buy a PSO-1
I can't send the mount back, I think. Airsoft GI has a strict no refunds policy unless it's damaged. That's what their site says, anyway. All the PSO-1s I can find are a bit over my budget. I'm still going to try to cancel my order via phone, but their office is closed currently and the risk of it shipping out is always there. Is there any place I could find a PSO-1 for 80$? The max total price would be 90$. I don't think I could find one. [editline]9th April 2012[/editline] Actually, I just called them and got it cancelled within a minute. Very good service. :v:

This is the closest to your price range I could find for a PSO http://www.dealextreme.com/p/4x26-svd-rifle-scope-for-ak47-1-x-cr2032-81299 [editline]9th April 2012[/editline] I like this
Thanks for your help felix. I think I'll wait till I get some more dosh for the PSO-1, though. Could you help me find a suitable mount that's compatible with the Airsoft GI 3.9x40 scope and the A&K SVD? I assume that's all I need to attach it to the gun. This will be my first time adding any attachments, so please excuse my retardation. Any scope and mount that fit the SVD would be alright. I'd like a big scope though.
Honestly, IMO it's a waste of money to buy another mount. Just save up for the PSO-1
Did you see that they refunded me? I've got 270$ total now. I'd like to just get something besides the PSO-1 for now. Would .36g be good for this rifle? From the chronos it apparently shoots 480-500fps with .20s.
Just get yourself the PSO if you have that kind of cash, its a scope and a mount in one, designed entirely for the SVD. .3-.36 should be just fine. Just be prepared to spend a lot. Sniper rifles are expensive to play with because of the ammo, and very expensive to upgrade. You should buy some heavyweight ammo, the PSO, and then do research on upgrades that you can perform.

It's like a tactical M16A1 handguard.
Alright, I'll buy the PSO. With 2000 .36s and the A&K SVD on AGI, it's 129$. Shipping is free, so it's the PSO I have to find now I guess. http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?products_id=31518 I know evike is a rather untrustworthy site, but should I go for that? It's out of stock in many other places.
I like this
Approved. It would probably go a long way in making some M4s look less run-of-the-mill. Do want.

And wait a sec, have you already gotten the A&K SVD?
I haven't gotten the SVD already, no. I cancelled the order earlier today. What's currently in my sights (get it) is the SVD and 2000 .36g BBs on AGI. The one on dealextreme is superior to the one on evike, felix? I kind of want to get the one on evike because I'm scared if I buy it from dealextreme it won't fit or something. :v:
It's the same thing. Evike is just charging more.
Okay. Thank you for all your help. This is all I need to start I suppose; the SVD itself, some BBs, and the scope. ...Eye protection, too! Waiting for the refund from AGI sucks. :v:
real steel pso-1s are real nice
Just ask cubeman?
Alright. I've ordered the PSO-1. Just gotta wait for AGI to refund my money now, then I'll order the SVD and BBs. I love how helpful you guys are. :v:
Took the scope mount that came with my red dot and put electrical tape on my flashlight until it fit. Saved myself from having to spend ~$10 on a flashlight mount! \o/

I swear to god I fucking hate gearboxes. I finally got about to replacing my piston head and cylinder and the fucking shell won't close. I've never had thos problem before and I when to open it back up and the trigger popped off. I fucking hate my life. I triple checked to make sure that the gears are lined up properly in the bearings and they are, as well as the trigger was and the anti-reversal latch.
Yep. Trigger springs are trolls in v2 and v3 gearboxes to me.
