I marched with my ROTC group in the Fort Worth parade today!
Did you read anything I said at all? They died fighting for their country - they died fighting to defend their loved ones, their townspeople, their neighbors - something which it seems you would not do.
I've been talking about Western Soldiers the whole time, what are you talking about?
Did you read anything I said at all? They died fighting for their country - they died fighting to defend their loved ones, their townspeople, their neighbors - something which it seems you would not do.
It does not matter who they are affiliated to. If they are fighting for their country, it's a just cause. The fact they died for such a cause demands respect.
While this is true, it is hard for people to get over the whole fact that Taliban soldiers are misled so badly and trying to put laws in place -- which limit freedoms that the vast majority of the world sees as basic human rights -- that are based on a strange, violent interpretation of a peaceful religion.

I never understood ROTC. It's as indoctrinating as indoctrination gets
I've been talking about Western Soldiers the whole time, what are you talking about?
I'm talking about soldiers across the world.
Unlike you, I am not biased to pushing down soldiers because of the wars they have been fighting in or the countries they fight for.
I never understood ROTC. It's as indoctrinating as indoctrination gets
Yeah, but the military is not that bad of a thing to be indoctrinated into. It focuses on killing, but does so in the most respectable way possible, while teaching what is by far the strictest and most effective work ethic ever.

are you fucking joking?

Which school?
I lived in FW and the only people I knew joined ROTC because they weren't going to graduate.

It's in Mansfield (Misd)
It's in Mansfield (Misd)
Oh that explains it. FWISD's ROTC is basically job training for dropouts.
look are we all done flaming, trolling and bringing american friendly fire situations into conversation.
today is a day of remebering those brave men and women who gave their lives to defend their nation and fought to the very end until we can have our freedom. IT ISNT AN EXCUSE TO FLAME OR TROLL ON A SOLUM OCCASSION BASED AROUND PEOPLES COURAGE AND HEART FOR THEIR COUNTRY, IF YOU ARE ONE OF THESE ARROGANT DOUCHES, GET THE FUCK OUT AND SOME DISHONOURING OUR REMEMBERENCE CELEBRATIONS YOU HAND HANDED PIECE OF DISRESPECTFUL SHIT,
shame on you. thats all im going to say
and think twice before you post more of that bull shit
Wow, there are some extremely arrogant, heartless people in this thread, makes me sad.
it's facepunch, where kids troll 24/7 and act like ambitious little cunts.
you get over it though, and go on with your day ignoring them.
I can respect any soldier for killing someone, because unlike many on here haven't. They don't know what it takes.
If they got out of their little bubble and see that the world isn't formed in a nice circle then maybe they should just keep their tiny twerp mouths shut.
Have respect for people giving it all in another country whether you want to or not.
to above poster
obscenity was not needed
i really wanted to get my point across to these disrespectfull indeviduals. they come into a thread based on a sad occassion and chant things about black-ops
it makes me sick that they think they'll get funny's and stuff for acting like a dick at the wrong time

Wait, wait, wait, we're the bad guys because we don't kill people?
If they got out of their little bubble and see that the world isn't formed in a nice circle then maybe they should just keep their tiny twerp mouths shut.
lol, what's with this holier than thou attitude. The world is a mess because of your militaristic and nationalist bullshit.
Or you could learn your history son.
The men of the Wehrmacht were mostly innocent, but certainly not the NSDAP or anybody that advocated fascism.

Let us remember the brave Republicans (as in defenders of the Spanish republic) that gave their lives to halt the spread fascism/Nazism but failed.
Let us remember Condor Legion as well (except the ones that bombed civilians :saddowns:).
it's called veterans' day here in the US.
it's called veterans' day here in the US.
It says that in the OP.
I was at the National War Memorial downtown in Ottawa (Canada). I'm a FSgt in Air Cadets (Or Warrant Officer in Army I guess). Might have been on TV.
Dying fighting for our mistakes.
God bless the expendable army :911:
Obviously a shot at soldiers. Not really justified, it's politicians who send soldiers to war and there'll always be soldiers no matter how bad a rep the military gets.
I guess what I'm saying is: Shut the hell up, this is a remembrance of soldiers, not the reasons for the wars they fought in (ww2 excluded).
I was in work at the time, all the staff just stood still and stopped working, but i got called to find a product code, so had to hunt down a barcode scanner. Doing that in a large store that only has 2 scanners, while unable to speak is a challenge. Along with the pressure of a customer waiting at the checkout
Didn't Germany just recently finish paying for the war costs of WWI? Treaty of Versailles hammered them hard... and then comes WWII. I wonder how much they owe for that. Probably a significant less amount due to the fact that they learned putting them into a poverty was a bad idea.

ITT: We only choose the 'good', dead soldiers that fought for legit wars. Active servicemen don't deserve respect on Veteran's day.
Fucking Americans, your soldiers are constantly killing our soldiers in friendly fire incidents. Only the other month, one of your jets bombed 6 British soldiers.
Yeah fuck every American for one's mistake.

What? Remembrance Sunday shows respect to all soldiers that HAVE fought, ARE fighting and WILL fight in any conflict throughout the world.
