I haven't seen another country other than the UK honour their fallen hereos, In what I would call the most awesome parade of valiant soldiers! The Queen's speech followed by the marching band is quite simply the best looking event in the entire world.

It's because America was happy to standby and watch her European and Canadian Allies die in the name of freedom. If Japan hadnt attacked the USA, we may have had to fight the war on our own. I'm not saying we would have lost because we still had the soviets. But it would have been alot longer than a 6 year war. The British in North Africa threw out the Krautes and then moved onto Italy. The D-day landings were majority British and Canadians anyway so not much a difference would have occured. During D-day 70% of the Troops were British and 90% British during operation market garden. Yet the USA take ample amounts of credit away from the tommys.
