Tomorrows probably going to hit me harder then normal, what I mean by that is I do normally give thanks to any vets if I see them. What's going to be hard is that I had a friend that was killed a little under a month ago (oct 14th) in Afghanistan. He wasn't even there for a fucking month... I'm planning on visiting him tomorrow.
For my Great Uncles friends who died in 'Nam, this is the very least I can do. Moment of silence then sleep.

I'm British and no, who fucking cares, the last person who lived through it died last year. Gone. You don't see people grieving over the War of the Roses.

So once the last veteran from World War 2 is gone, we should no longer give a fuck about how it was the only time when an Atomic weapon was used to scale a city? How a madman has managed to convince a people to systematically murder 11 million others, destroy an entire generation of Germans and brought a world into a bloody conflict?
Yeah, fuck that, we don't need to look back at that as we go forward in the future.
Gone. You don't see people grieving over the War of the Roses.
Veteran's/Remembrance Day honors all veterans who are still serving in active duty or ones who had passed, dying for your freedom.

The past is the past, you can't change it, not even with :science:. Get over it and look to the future (Which will most likely end in a nuclear holocaust :D)

The past is important. Looking back at the past keeps us from making the same mistakes that we had already done.
Get over this fact or crawl back into your hole.
Also fly, stop rating yourself, it's lame bro.

That doesn't mean we should be little bitches about it though. I can do so many things in 2 minutes, but instead we stand in silence? :downs:
Don't get me wrong, I'm not a souless bastard, I do care about things that are happening right now, the war in Iraq, 911, Africa, STDs... The list goes on. I love my country, god save the queen.

No one is holding you back during the 2 minutes. You can do whatever the Hell you want during the two minutes.
You openly describing the pointlessness of Veteran's Day is entirely stupid.

My arguments make me look stupid? That's not very good reasoning, friend.
Also, how about you respond to my other part instead of making me look like a dick.
My arguments make me look stupid?
What arguments? You have none.

What are you talking about, there are three veterans left.

I entered the ANZAC spirit competition, got a letter from the guys running and said they are processing it now. If I win I would be able to go to Gallipoli for ANZAC Day.
Took me days to write 1000+ words in a Powerpoint Presentation.

Cause if it wasn't for brave men, and women who gave their lives too test these risky experiments/operations during WW1 which gave way to new technologies. I would also like to thank my family members, and many other soldiers/average people who gave their lives to allow me too do all the freedoms I have today.
