Kinda a dick move for the fans to trash their stuff but it's dumb to pull out after making your fans wait for so long. It's hard not to lose your patience with DG members sometimes what with pulling out of shows and tours so much.
I think it's deeper than just not showing up. Like, they had a suicide note there, when someone commits suicide, they are no longer present and their absence creates emotional distraught. Death Grips didn't show up. Their absence created emotional distraught. Chaos. I think it's an interesting little mirror.
This is interesting. Apparently it was a training drumset.
In an interview with DNA Info, Bottom Lounge Marketing Director Erin O’Neal said Death Grips’ management told venue employees “that the stage set up and the Death Grips album being played ‘was the show.” In fact, as O’Neal noted, the drum set destroyed by fans upon the show’s cancellation wasn’t even owned by drummer Zach Hill, but was rather a child’s learning drum kit.
http://consequenceofsound.net/2013/08/suicide-note-pre-recorded-music-was-the-show-for-death-grips-canceled-concerts/
People on /mu/ think that the AJJ in the suicide note is actually Andrew Jackson Jihad. Thoughts?
People on /mu/ think that the AJJ in the suicide note is actually Andrew Jackson Jihad. Thoughts?
Andrew Jackson Jihad is two people, not one. Also they just announced plans for a live album so I don't think either of them are going anwhere soon.
People on /mu/ think that the AJJ in the suicide note is actually Andrew Jackson Jihad. Thoughts?
that's a running joke
People on /mu/ think that the AJJ in the suicide note is actually Andrew Jackson Jihad. Thoughts?
you have to be actually retarded to believe that
People on /mu/ think that the AJJ in the suicide note is actually Andrew Jackson Jihad. Thoughts?
My secret /mu/ sources tell me its more likely than you might think.
straight from the underground
le edgy grips it seriously feels like they're just trying to push it so that they just can't perform anywhere or do anything. labels hate them, and now venues are cautious of them. I wonder if they truly "get" what they're doing
I think they just don't care and could randomly stop making music any day because that's just the type of people they are
They make music because they like to, they're not doing it for the fame or the money.
they view what they're doing as art rather than specifically music, it seems like they're moving from a strictly musical standpoint into an area more related to performance art. That's fine by me, as long as they don't forget that the reason they got where they are is the fanbase that they're risking shunning
you guys remember mexican girl? she's on a dg track kinda / is in a few videos / was the owner of the record store DG used to hang out at
you guys remember mexican girl? she's on a dg track kinda / is in a few videos / was the owner of the record store DG used to hang out at
i have no idea what to make of this
Oh shit, new song
Oh shit, new song
I really fucking like this it's nothing like what they've done before, I'm excited for the new release next year now
New song is pretty kick-ass. I was hyped for a new Death Grips album before this, but I'm really loving what I'm hearing.
Not really liking the new song. I have no doubts that a new album would be fucking amazing, but this song is just grinding on me.
instrumental is cool but ride sounds really stupid on that track, and the lyrics are just like.. i could get into the rambling esoteric bullshit on TMS because at least it kinda tells a story but this feels like the worst parts of no love deep web's writers block
I can't believe how good this, best new track I have heard in at least 2 years. Feels so much more natural than NLDW, I love all this flow, doesn't feel linear.
fucking love it uugghh
are you all serious im just gonna take it as like, them mocking yeezus or something because its hilariously ridic on a lot of levels
its kinda shit mate
I really like the instrumental but not the vocals. Still good.
I like it; the song sounds as if it's just melting while I'm tripping on some drug or something. I really like chopped and screwed aesthetics in songs, which is probably why I like it so much.
When I first heard the first songs on TMS, like Get Got, I didn't really like it because it was so different from Exmilitary, but when I heard the whole album I loved it, and now Get Got is one of my favourite DG songs. I feel the same kind of weird disappointment that I did then, but I think that when I hear the song in the context of the whole album I'll probably love it like I did with TMS.
its kinda shit mate
kinda very
new track owns
I love birds.
first 30 seconds sound like a leftover from NLDW then it just goes in a new direction [editline]22nd August 2013[/editline] lyrics are kinda silly though on closer inspection
