I was kind of caught of guard with the new track at first but it's starting to grow on me. I believe more so because of the instrumentals than the vocals. Looking forward to seeing where they take this with their next LP. [editline]22nd August 2013[/editline]
first 30 seconds sound like a leftover from NLDW then it just goes in a new direction [editline]22nd August 2013[/editline] lyrics are kinda silly though on closer inspection
Even though the vocals on this track was a little off putting in parts. I think the lyrics silliness blends in well with how wild and non-linear the track is.
I love that looping MC Ride sample.
I really like the lyrics, it's not trying to be rap. The vocals seem to provide a rhythmic background the instrumental. I also love how avant-garde and odd the lyrics are, just makes the song so much more surreal and unsettling.
are you all serious im just gonna take it as like, them mocking yeezus or something because its hilariously ridic on a lot of levels
jesus christ people calling yeezus a DG ripoff was bad enough but now comparing DG to yeezus??? fuck sake [editline]22nd August 2013[/editline]
I really like the lyrics, it's not trying to be rap. It adds to odd flow to the song.
jesus christ people calling yeezus a DG ripoff was bad enough but now comparing DG to yeezus??? fuck sake
slow, chill, industrial track, heavy on the production with shit lyrics yep
slow, chill, industrial track, heavy on the production with shit lyrics yep
drums.. synthesizers, a human vocalizing.. such a ripoff of the knife tbh [editline]22nd August 2013[/editline] god people who use DG and yeezus as home base for anything remotely noisy or "industrial" are so bad
yeezus sounded literally nothing like death grips. the only track that remotely approached sounding like death grips was on sight which was just daft punk (the producers of that track) continuing the kind of sound they had on "steam machine" off of human after all [editline]22nd August 2013[/editline] death grips ripped off daft punk. fuck you flatlander [editline]22nd August 2013[/editline]
slow, chill, industrial track, heavy on the production with shit lyrics yep
heavy on the production? lol what does that even mean
Why does this track give me such a 60s vibe
oh shit guys i was watching this random video and check out what i found at 2:09 SOUND FAMILIAR?? edit: apparantly i'm late doe :I
death grips samples from the weirdest fucking places
yeah a large portion of TMS is sampled from that music from saharan cellphones and when someone on whosampled finally id'd the known for it sample i shit my pants. flatlander might be the most creative sampler i'm aware of tbh
i really want to know what that string sample on birds is though, it sounds very familiar
did anyone ever figure out what the weird fucking sample from the fever's chorus is
I can't stop rewatching this.
I posted in the vinyl thread but I'm going to post here too. No Love Deep Web is on vinyl, it's limited to 1000 copies. Pre-order it here.
Gonna preorder that as soon as I can. I hope they re-release Exmilitary on vinyl eventually.
Gonna preorder that as soon as I can. I hope they re-release Exmilitary on vinyl eventually.
Looks like it sold out. There's a message on Amazon to be notified whenever it becomes available, but since it's limited I doubt it'll be back.
Well shit.
I only listen to death grips when in the car, because it is perhaps the best music to listen to in the car.
