Cry some more. Language is continuously evolving. Don't be so salty.
Is Ravic like a top tier player or something I'm not aware of? I don't play or follow Battlefield at all so I have no idea who he is.
There was a video of him a few months ago snipping people with a revolver, some pretty hilarious broken english tears ensued, not sure if he is known for it. I just recognize his name from "ravic return play minecrat in big ass of ur mother bitch"
Oh my fucking god 1:19 was glorious, I need to try that with a friend!

Ravic and his posse are just really, REALLY good at messing around in Battlefield 4.
Such as tactical drop shocking:

Don't remind me.
There was this one little shit in an anime club who anytime he did something stupid and you'd yell at him for it, he'd go "wow, someone's salty."
Well yeah he's the kind of guy that would join an anime club.
Since people started overusing it for everything in the past year.
It's definitely a meme at this point.
i've been using "salty" for ten years now
just because you want to feel more important than other people because you don't say something they say (lol) doesn't mean your assumptions are true

But fighting games and their communities have existed for more than just one year. How is it a meme when it's an established expression?
What's funny is that mus1Ck and Ravic have this contest to see who gets called a hacker first in a match, and Ravic usually wins.
You know what, might as well make this the main Ravic thread. The title pretty much applies to all his videos.
They are all equally exquisite in that department.
Heck, the title in his latest video reflects it:

"just watched him fire 2 missiles at a heli while facing the opposite direction"
honestly I think half the hackusations people get in Battlefield are just down to wonky netcode, like when you are shooting at someone but on their screen you are shooting 90 degrees in another direction.

I MAV (a lot) and like to set my character up so I'm facing with my back to a corner so people don't go for the stab. I'll fly up in my MAV and look at my character to see him facing to the left or right of wherever I'm looking on my screen so it's probably not even a network problem.
afaik 'salty' is a term from the 80s that got picked up later on by the fighting game community.
Not exactly, I think. "u mad bro" from what I've seen is usually used to incite anger while "being salty" usually mocks someone that's already expressed grief.
From my examination, anyway.
From where I learned it (local group of fighter players) it's commonly used to denote someone being a poor loser/not taking a loss well.
Salty is pretty much that yeah.
It's used for people who aren't being a good sport about losing, not necessarily being outright angry
Yeah, seems about right. Considering Ravic never says a word in chat it definitely applies to some of his opponents.
everything is easier with automatic weapons
bolt actions / snipers just make shit more tense
Or if you want more bullet-drop and less bullet-travel, shotgun slugs. i always use that since taking pilots with that is one of the most satisfied thing you'll ever get. Or long range kills. But they are so difficult to pull that off though.
The evolution of language is now a meme
The actual word meme was coined by Richard Dawkins in 1976 and is the evolution of language.
"A meme (/ˈmiːm/ meem)[1] is "an idea, behavior, or style that spreads from person to person within a culture".[2] A meme acts as a unit for carrying cultural ideas, symbols, or practices that can be transmitted from one mind to another through writing, speech, gestures, rituals, or other imitable phenomena with a mimicked theme. Supporters of the concept regard memes as cultural analogues to genes in that they self-replicate, mutate, and respond to selective pressures.[3]"

Jesus, I can't hit like that with the type 88, much less the m240.

It's all about tap-fire and aim placement. The guns in BF4 don't have the same recoil as other games, there's no real aimpunch to where you're aiming, so if you just keep on target and tap fire, you're golden. With the LMGs it's scary effective.

It's so weird watching him play, it feels and looks exactly like how I do.
