Not the metal bands "The Kovenant" or "The Covenant" but "Covenant" Any listeners? They've been a favorite of mine for some time. Their work is a mixture of EBM and Electro-Pop, essentially "futurepop". For those of you who don't know EBM or "Electronic Body Music" can be likened to Industrial Dance. Most of their music is often cryptic, philosophical, heavy, and at the same time euphoric. (HD Goodness) Stalker was composed in 1996 and yet the song still sounds relatively modern. Video is from a performance but it sounds identical on CD just it's lo-fi because of its age. I liked bullet really, but the rest was some rubbish in my opinion. I'll take the time later to hear all those tracks though.
some songs take a few listens to get accustomed too, the synths can sound really abrasive when you're just skipping through them.

It's just that the tracks were way too cliché. And the lead singers voice isn't too great for many of the songs in my opinion. Listening to some of the songs right now, and I must say "The Men" sounds okay, not too great but okay.
nothing cliche about choir synths :colbert: I like singers who go about in mid-octave, its a bit refreshing
nothing cliche about choir synths :colbert: I like singers who go about in mid-octave, its a bit refreshing
Well, it's quite unusual, and I usually like voices that aren't all clean or just special in any way, but this one just doesn't appeal to me. I think it's more a case of opinion here than him being bad. But well, that's the way music is.
