I couldn't disagree with you more. I see absolutely no reason why "shitty" games shouldn't go on Steam if the players wants it to go. You're not forced to buy the games. But if other people wants to buy it, let them. It's not hurting you. And the fact that the Steam platform is becoming more and more open is a good thing.
Disclaimer: I'm not defending the game. It's absolute crap. But I am defending the way Greenlight works.
Because uneducated customers will end up with shitty games. And these shitty developers don't deserve money.
And devs abuse greenlight by offering free copies, etc. Greenlight is broken and should be gotton rid of.
Talking to DigitalDNA on Steam right now, any questions you want me to ask?

After that they told me that valve is pretty restrictive on them, they cant change the price, apparently.
They can and will eventually as time goes on. If older CoDs are $20 instead of $60, it can happen here too.
Also, I lost all respect for this guy when his reasoning for not having splitscreen was

I've posted on there a couple of times, telling them they're a disgrace and should not be allowed on Steam. Haven't been banned yet though.

Dunno, I think That Greenlight is a great idea but the execution is not perfect.
More rules and restrictions on what can be submitted along with a refunding policy that's awesome would go a long way towards fixing GL.
What a pile of bullshit. It's like blaming a child for driving a car into a ditch instead of the mother who sat on the back seat, encouraging the baby to operate the vehicle. There is no such thing as "us". Us who? Facepunchers? /v/? Reddit? Do we have meetings where we decide to vote on bad games? Because I totally missed that one. World doesn't work like that. It works like this: There are people who deeply care about Steam and it's quality, a really small percent of the whole userbase. And then there's 12 year old masses who see a zombie game and click on the 'vote' button. They are not doing their jobs, they have no jobs. It's just kids and adults who see a fancy idea for a game and click a button. You're blaming 'us', like 'us' is one entity. "You voted for it and you're whining"? I didn't vote for anything. Masses are extremely ignorant and careless. You don't let them decide what goes on Steam. That's the job of 5, maybe 10 open minded industry experts and long time game players somewhere at valve who will actually play the game and decide if that game deserves to be on Steam. That's how it should be, but, sadly, Gabe wants a complete opposite.
tl;dr: Valve is 'commander', community is 'workers', Picking good games on greenlight is 'job'. If a commander chooses workers absolutely unfit and unqualified for doing the job, it's not the fault of the workers. For every one person who will judge a game and click on a vote button only if it's actually good, there's 10 persons who will just click on whatever they found to be remotely interesting. Don't blame that one person.
Sorry for the late response, but when I implied "us" I implied the community. As much as you might want to differentiate yourself from "the 12 year old masses" your vote counts just as much as theirs and you are not really superior in any way just because you care deeply about Steam. There are definitely groups with different agendas as well as differing levels of intelligence, but Valve let the community decide what games go on Steam, meaning every single member. If you don't like the direction Steam is going, go vote down games that look unfinished/unpolished, review the games poorly, and the various other ways to voice your opinion. Unfortunately, if you care about Steam like you say you do that is all you can really do. Valve gave the choice to the people, which is ultimately what a lot of people wanted.
Your opinion on what should happen is against a lot of peoples opinion as well, as far as letting experts curate what goes on Steam. A lot of people felt games were not coming fast enough that deserved to be on Steam because of the volume of games they get submitted. This was their solution to that problem, good or not.
Steam is going downhill fucking fast. It's like having to go into a store and researching all the products you might want because they have no quality control on which products go on the shelf. Half the time you buy a box of lights and all the bulbs are broken inside.
At least they're trying to stop this. They said they want to get rid of Greenlight and added those visible user reviews to help people not buy utter garbage.
Greenlight helped with the expansion of steam for a while. Greenlight did exactly what it intended, it brought in games that people wanted to play, but after a while the standard of quality dropped and dropped and dropped which resulted in some really bad games being put on to the market. Some of them literally scream the word "Generic" when you look at them. Although, other games, which are arguably fantastic, such as Starbound and other games that integrate well with Steam Workshop.
IIRC, Valve announced their intentions to do away with Greenlight after some time due to it serving it's part. Hopefully this will be the case. After that, Greenlight will all just be a dark spot in the history of Steam.
Relaxed Hair to Natural hair products
Have you marvelled why hair utilised to truly love any certain conditioner during the time you were calm but detests it for those who transitioned to natural hair? Maybe skilled eating a moisturiser that works when you decide calm but miraculously starts softening and moisturising any natural development? The true problem is research for transitioners and new natural hair products who could possibly contemplating switching between hair products.
Hair conditioners
Increasingly, hair conditioners are highly being way too many similar ingredient wise. There’s an inclination to lessen oil use while increasing the softening ingredients. It’s so entirely attainable to look for someone who somebody with natural hair items might choose the same conditioner as someone with relaxed hair. However, you will need to keep in mind that each time a method is specifically made for relaxed hair, it'll are a harm repair conditioner. it is produced for hair which may have broken cuticles and accrued consistency as it is common in relaxed hair and in previous natural hair (3 yrs plus). With the services ingredients like hydrolysed proteins, silicones and oil. Whereas none of followers ingredients are significantly damaging to natural hair, a hair conditioner which is designed to melt the cuticle while increasing wet is why not a great number of used for increasing the tractability and lustre of natural hair. Looking for a merchandise that says he will melt or support dry tresses are perhaps a a lot of useful right now than one designed to make sure you repair broken hair. Later on account of your natural hair gets older, the injury repair product could currently even have a sturdier perform.
Moisturisers
Just as before it is necessary simply in your thoughts that relaxed hair can are usually broken than natural hair products where doesn't have an permanent color treatment (excluding henna). Humectants generally (natural, honey) and specifically glycerol centered moisturisers (e.g curl activators) trust natural hair. They’re also far-famed scientifically to boost natural unbroken hair through increasing wetness and adaptability. This profit isn't present in relaxed or bleach/permanently coloured hair partly mainly because its surface must also be reported the cuticle could build the substance less effective. thus before transitioning, perhaps you can get felt that this particular product isn't in your stead. you must allow a attempt any time you aim to go natural.
Oh well, I'd avoid the game just because it's a blatant Minecraft clone. Not that all Minecraft inspired games are shit, but it's such an over saturated genre. It seems like every other day there's a new Minecraft early access alpha clone on Steam that claims to be procedurally generated, innovative, and 'indie'.

Didnt have time to type on a phone.
Sorry
They just deleted my post, they also changed it so that you have to have the game for you to talk in the fourms

maybe DDNA agrees with them
I remember when I bought this game about two years back? Before Minecraft was on Xbox and I only did it because I had spare change left over and it looked "interesting". Wasn't complete and total shit but it was pretty bad but not too bad for only $1 at the time. When I saw it pop up on Steam I thought to myself: "It was kind of decent, but not $10 decent." then: "Well maybe they fixed it.." clicked on it: "Or not, still looks like the same shit, only a little more polished." I already knew the devs were pretty self absorbed dicks from the time I visited their website and saw some of the things they responded to their community with.
The Xbox Live Indie Games section should be doused with acid to burn away the thousands of shitty games in favor of the better games. Don't even get me started on all the games with shitty looking "anime inspired" girls in loin cloths on the front covers or the pre-made 3D sprite games that look like they came straight out of someones 3D porn portfolio and the weird dating simulators. Seriously, some of the worst things in the existence of all man kind come from the Indie marketplace.
On the other hand, there are also very good to decent games worth your time and money:
Murder Miners, Dead Pixels, Zombie Estate, Thunder Moon (good for a Minecraft ripoff) and a few more I'm too lazy to boot up my Xbox to look at.
But yeah, honestly Steam lately has been pretty shitty in general, most purchases I make nowadays from trusting big publishers ends up in me having a game that either doesn't work or I have to fix it myself to get it to work or find a community fix/mod to make it work and most of it is caused by shitty ports or secondary DRM. Not to mention they have let a lot of crap through that shouldn't have been let through even if the community DID vote for it...
