I would love to have a Male Companion for a change, Even tho he has in the old series, he hasn't had a proper one in the re-boot.
B-But, I love Clara, I hope she stays forever!
What about Jack, Mikey, and Rory?
They don't count, when I mean "proper" I mean, just Male, and the whole season. Jack and Mikey were here and there in the tardis. And Rory was (in my opinion/words) Amy's Companion. Not the main focus, just a tag along.
B-But, I love Clara, I hope she stays forever!
She is the best along with Martha, but I would like to see a change.
why did they think it was a mammoth in the ice? that would have been a pretty small mammoth
Good episode but I'd like to know how that man knew about those 80s songs as I'm pretty sure the Soviet Union didn't like any western culture and tried it's up most best to keep it out.
You can't just block it forever, stuff got in - through tapes brought back in by people travelling, radio, etc.
I would love to have a Male Companion for a change, Even tho he has in the old series, he hasn't had a proper one in the re-boot.
I'd love to see what Captain Jack thinks of the Doctors new regeneration.
Also, when will we be getting posters for the remaining four episodes?
Just finished watching; that episode was good. Also, the Russian engineer guy was pretty cool, certainly seemed rather Doctor-y. I dunno about the suitless Martian graphics though; looked a bit too smooth for my tastes. I'd have preferred it if the head had bigger ridges, maybe even a few spikes/horns like one of those horned lizards that pop up in North American deserts.
So far this series really hasnt been to bad I really quite liked Cold War, bar the ending being a bit weak. I mean I can't really not like it when it has Davos as a Russian captain really. What's Doctor Whos budget? I don't understand why the show has such bad CGI considering how insanely popular it is.
It's a TV show. TV shows rarely have the kind of budget which allows movie-quality CGI. Also, hasn't the show's budget decreased since Tennant left?
What's Doctor Whos budget? I don't understand why the show has such bad CGI considering how insanely popular it is.
RTD said it was about £1 million per episode
The budget has been cut since RTD. It remains to be seen what becomes of the CGI now that both of the SFX companies you see on the credits have closed.
What's Doctor Whos budget? I don't understand why the show has such bad CGI considering how insanely popular it is.
Considering the British public pay taxes towards it being made, the budget can't be THAT high
What's Doctor Whos budget? I don't understand why the show has such bad CGI considering how insanely popular it is.
You think the CGI is bad? Compared to the old CGI this stuff is pretty decent.
What's Doctor Whos budget? I don't understand why the show has such bad CGI considering how insanely popular it is.
Terrible and shrinking every year. Reason: The British public are fucking idiots and don't want to pay the license fee so the amount of money the BBC has is miniscule. Many speculate the reason we have no series this year and only half of last years is so the budget that would've been used on Series 8 can be put towards anniversary stuff and partly Series 7. [editline]13th April 2013[/editline] Also this episode was good because it made use of models. Would've preferred if the entire sequence of the Ice Warrior out of his suit was cut. It was a neat idea but realised poorly. I'd have preferred him fucking shit up around the sub in his suit and removing the mask at the end. Would've preferred a latex mask too. But I'm nit picking. Really liked this episode.
My little brother (age 5) cried and had to run out of the room when the hands wrapped around the people's heads.
A successful episode of Who.
Oh- John Simm was just on Jonathan Ross. Blimey he got old. When did that happen? Grey hair and looking a bit thinner. He was only on Who a few years back jeez. But Ross as usual probed him about the 50th. Curiously John smiled soon as "Doctor Who" was mentioned and looked directly in the camera to say "No". He insists he wasn't called (to which Jonathan said "bastards") but we've heard that before. Who knows. I think it would be a shame to celebrate the 50th without The Master. The lack of past Doctors I can live with, but no Master? I want every major villain dammit. I want UNIT. I want a Stewart. I want Bessie. I want The Master.
Stewart is dead. But since when has that stopped Whovians?

Why is this track so brilliant? Especially when the viola bit is used when Toby's seen outside possessed.
Hope this gets used in the 50th. [editline]13th April 2013[/editline] Jesus I dream of Eleven and Ten running down corridors to that music. And then later both of them being awesome to I Am The Doctor. [editline]13th April 2013[/editline] Haters can fuck off. 10&11 is going to be incredible I can't wait.
So, this week's episode. A yay or a nay?
i enjoyed it, though i was somewhat distracted by weaponry.
yaaaaaay
So, this week's episode. A yay or a nay?
a yay from me
So, this week's episode. A yay or a nay?
Yay. Loved the comeback of the Ice Warrior. Can't wait for the newly redesigned Cybermen to appear now.
So much hyper around the Cyberman episode. I hope it isn't disappointing.
Just found this on DeviantART. :v: [img_thumb]http://katartillustrations.files.wordpress.com/2012/11/whodam-style1.jpg[/img_thumb]
