David Tennant's Birthday tomorrow. Expect first publicity shot of 10/11?
okay reading this thread ..what [sp]forgetting an entire incarnation[/sp] [editline]18th April 2013[/editline]
David Tennant's Birthday tomorrow. Expect first publicity shot of 10/11?
I think you mean [sp] 11/12 Dan[/sp] gosh [editline]18th April 2013[/editline] [sp]his name is now eleven-ant.[/sp] If this is true I'm taking it badly, if you can't tell.
[sp]There are always other options. Multiple timeline bullshit, for example. But I don't want this to happen because it'll fuck up Doctor numbering, though that is the only reason :I[/sp] [editline]18th April 2013[/editline] Spoiler tag that!!
[sp]I just don't want it because it's a very mediocre plotline and because it's unfair to McGann[/sp]
put a fucking spoiler tag on the fukcing spoiler [editline]18th April 2013[/editline]
I was talking about the bit at the end of the episode, when he's looking at the business card. He says the name "great intelligence" rings a bell, rather than stating what it is and so on, like he does with other enemies.
it was at least >=800 years ago though nobody's memory is perfect
put a fucking spoiler tag on the fukcing spoiler [editline]18th April 2013[/editline] it was at least >=800 years ago though nobody's memory is perfect
Yet he remembered the Ice Warriors. We're talking 900-year old alien with 2 hearts, I sort of doubt he's gone and got Alzheimer's all of a sudden.
~1200 actually still, it's the same with humans: you remember some things very clearly, but some just leave your head the moment you are done with them. i don't see why the doctor would behave that differently.
These same sources once confirmed 100% that Paul McGann would appear, chased by the hordes of Genghis Khan - in a Tennant episode. Relaaaax. It's never as bad as it first appears. Unless it appears like this.
Is it wrong that I liked that episode? The monster/alien may have been lame as hell, but I really liked the idea of a conspiracy theory group "investigating" the Doctor (kinda like that guy in the pilot of the reboot).
yeah, except for the alien and the ending the episode was quite nice.
Apparently, Matt Smith's contract runs out at Christmas, and so far, he doesn't want to renew it, so we might be getting a new doctor soon! I like Eleven , but he's my least favourite of NewWho, and it'll be really interesting to see who comes next.
"McGann is DEFINATELY back. It has been confirmed to me this morning. The source is cast iron and there is no room for doubt in my mind. "
From the same source in 2008. This cropped up from a mysterious new arrival in response.
'The Doctor's Trainers' has had their chain yanked well and truly by their source I'm afraid. I wouldn't get too worked up about what they have been reporting. [sp]There will be no 'new' Doctor in the 50th. But we will learn much more about the Doctor and his past. Much more.[/sp]
I don't trust anyone who can't spell definitely.
Well damn, if you have been following the above spoiler discussion, just look at this.

I had a dream the other night that The Doctor revealed his middle name. It was at least 4 or 5 syllables. Does that help the discussion at all?
In more upbeat discussion of matters related to Classic Who: I really need to pick this up. Not so sure about the Shada footage itself (in part to the state of the 1992 cut they're using, also due to having read Garret Robert's novelization and thinking it may not look as good in comparison), but the More than 30 Years in the TARDIS documentary has me highly intigued. Looks like a fantastic love letter from Anniversary 30 that I could watch alongside Three Doctors & Five Doctors to celebrate this year's festivities.

There are so many times I feel like I could and should rant about things forever. Times like that I think I should have a cheap ass blog in some seedy part of the Internet. You would all visit and leave equally witty and insulting comments, right guys?

That picture... [sp]Hurt's outfit is almost an evolution of 8 to 9. Could he just be playing a very old 8 under some circumstance... which would allow Paul McGann to have filmed in secret.[/sp]

The alternative sounds so dumb.

Maybe they just gave out false info to people, expecting it to leak, and that picture is part of an elaborate plan to make people think it's true, and any other info that may leak later (like actual info pertaining to the special) will be perceived by fans as incorrect?

Maybe John Hurt is like David Morrisey. He thinks that is The Doctor.
spoiler tags, people

But it's always lovely to be on the list for that ... it would be great to write for Jenna-Louise Coleman." Discussing the appeal of Doctor Who as a writer, he commented: "It's a privilege and an honour and a delight to go in and write a Doctor Who [episode] ... you can tell stories you can't tell anywhere else."
Link
