Ooh. Apparently the new Cybermen don't stomp. Joy.
Well that's kinda neat; I guess it means that a Cyberman attack scene won't sound like some kinda steam-powered drum track; add a guitar track or two over it and you'd probably end up with instrumental alternative rock.
Warwick Davis had to record an extra line for his part in the upcoming Neil Gaiman Cyberman episode. But he was in Dubai and told them he couldn't do it. But then the BBC said "record it on your phone and send it to us". So one line in that episode is done on an iPhone.
Why does using the sonic seem to need effort all of a sudden with the door and stuff?
Why does using the sonic seem to need effort all of a sudden with the door and stuff?
I'm guessing for that bit the sonic was generating some sort of pseudo-magnetic field, and the door was exerting a force on the screwdriver so the Doctor had to push it up.

Why do episodes have to be 45mins, I'd much prefer 1-hour ones.
Jesus now he's not moving I realse how much of a mess he is. A Hath and an Ood had a baby. Then a classic series Silurian came along and had a baby with that.
Looks more like a cross between a Hoix and an Ood that stole a Hath's face mask thing. I thought it was supposed to be a Hoix who had a sort of chemical that constantly made it feel full so it didn't try and eat everything when I first saw it... Didn't spot the Ood tendrils, though

Hahahaha oh my god. So they reused the Hath, Ood and Hoix. But struggled to use the same leaf prop.
BBC Quality, ladies and gentleman
Plus, I read somewhere that the Hoix was just made of old leftover parts from other costumes as well. I mean, c'mon - I get that they had to spend their budget wisely to get a decent looking set and a wide variety of aliens on screen at the same time, but that's ridiculous. Prediction: they spray it red, add some yellow robo-eyes and reuse it in another episode.
I so very wish it ended at this. It was only on second viewing that I noticed the tears. I actually think that sequence was worth the singing. The Series 7 soundtrack is going to be ridiculous.

But they mask it well. I imagine most people think the budget has increased since Matt came in, not dropped.
On a related note, as it turns out the logo isn't changing weekly now... it still really sucks. They added some grey to the white to make it more interesting. Hooray.
I'd rather have the new intro than the changing logo every week. That felt gimmicy.
Also I'm loving all these references to Second Doctor episodes. There's the Great Intelligence and the London Underground, "A universe where the laws of physics were devised by a mad man" (from The Mind Robber), and the [sp]Ice Warrior[/sp] in the next episode. Though I wonder why it's mainly second doctor stuff?
I'd rather have the new intro than the changing logo every week. That felt gimmicy.
So they could have at least made an effort for a permanent one D= It doesn't even match the website.
The website is a disaster anyway. I like it.
Was the Kung Fu hands near the start of the episode (When the Doctor is going to Clara's childhood) a reference to the 3rd Doctor? Or was that just something else?
A fat american guy who posts videos on Youtube of him wearing a mask and fedora has been claiming he's got 'sources' for a while now. His source tells him Chris had very little lines anyway, couple of days ago he said "good" and "bad" news is on the way. He also says filming is 15 weeks and Matt is only present for 4 of them before he goes to film that american film. It's unlikely filming would be 15 weeks. Production maybe. But not filming. Filming is usually about 4 weeks. So he's not 100% reliable.
could have sworn last night's episode had more then one alien mask recycled. the alarm clock looked like the aliens from the first 10th doctor episode. but I could be wrong. even the robes reminded me of Pompeii.
I thought the laws of physics shaped by a mad man alluded to omega, but the celestial toy makers also fits.
I thought it was a Omega reference too. Some unconfirmed rumbles (as usual) that in the lead up to the 50th will be a series of special mini episodes. A bit like Pond Life. Not much is known about them but imagine the possibilities. [editline]7th April 2013[/editline] "Big anniversary coming up would you like to be involved?" "Would I like to be involved... errr.. [he smiles] if I told you that I'd have to shoot you [bigger smile]" - Christopher Eccleston interview 2012. Aww, I think he really wanted to do it :(
I really liked that the first half of this episode was focusing on Clara, and the wonder that it truly is to travel with the Doctor. With Amy and Rory we were never really introduced to the amazement on their faces, it was all battling monsters all the time. And I know this is far fetched, but could it be possible that Clara's mom is related to Susan Bowman( or possibly is susan bowman)? He did mention his granddaughter...
Searched for Susan Bowman [IMG_thumb]http://susanbowman.co.uk/site_files/images/sbowman_mask.jpg[/IMG_thumb] I think you mean Foreman
Here's the costume error I was talking about yesterday [t]http://i.imgur.com/dfQkDJc.jpg?1?6985[/t] How do you even fuck up that badly? EDIT: I'm gonna call him Mad Eye Oody
Oh jesus christ, I thought everyone was just dressing up like a costume party and that was part of the episode, like it was a place where humans come and dress up and celebrate for some god. But yeah, that was shameful writing for that episode.

Epic episode this weekend.
So, I crawled through an old loft recently and found this:
Durr Who that's how I always read that
So was Clara's mum gunned down by an Auton? :v:
