The Walking Dead: Volume 1 - £6
Holy shit, have fun. Some of the best zombie comics I've read ever. And Kirkman is putting a new issue out every month. He said in a reply to some fanmail that he doesn't see an end in sight either.

FFFF- that image haunts me! Gotta get through six novels before I can read Shogun. Speaking of which, started Under The Dome. Hell of an opening, shows a lot of promise.
My dad wouldn't let me read shogun when I was 13 years old so I nicked it when he was finished and uh... what an experience. He had a pretty good reason to keep that one from me.

The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher The main character is a wizard whose job is private detective. Good enough synopsis? Feed by Mira Grant Possibly the least generic zombie fiction ever created. Very interesting story exploring the social and political aspects of a zombified world. Long, well-written book with tons of plot twists and excellent, relatable characters.
Oh man I almost forgot I have Feed, gotta get around to reading it
Oh man I almost forgot I have Feed, gotta get around to reading it
It's a really good book. But if your copy of Feed is written by M.T. Anderson instead of Mira Grant, set it on fire and use the ashes as compost.
It's Mira Grant thank god.
[sp]Only for a little while.[/sp]
Debatable.
I just finished reading Dune Messiah today. I plan on checking out Children of Dune tomorrow. I really like the Dune series, I don't know why I never read them before now.
Andy McNab is not a nab.
Andy McNab is not a nab.
I think after leaving the SAS they undergo a name change. That or they use an Alias.
I think after leaving the SAS they undergo a name change. That or they use an Alias.
hey hey hey my avatar is you
hey hey hey my avatar is you
Well yeah, silly. It's been like that for about 6 months. My avatar is TheIceman. it's like a roleplaying trifecta.
This is also a very good series, I'm only on book 4 or 5 though, but I'm pretty sure there are up to 8 of them out. Sadly, Its very rare that I see them in stores in the U.S.
I think after leaving the SAS they undergo a name change. That or they use an Alias.
Erm OK... My point was that I enjoy his books.
Probably already posted, but whatever. Finished this book a couple weeks back. A book about a house that has a hallway that leads into a labyrinth-like structure that defies all physical bounds of the house. Great read. Also, the words mirror events that happen in the story, so say that someone is running, there are only a couple of words on each page, so you turn pages faster. Has multiple appendices as well. A parallel story is told solely through footnotes, too. Once again, great book.
Reading that right now, it's a bit confusing when the main text is about a movie and the footnotes are about blowjobs.
It's two seperate stories. The blowjobs one is Johnny's story and in my personal opinion, it really isn't that interesting. Still, read the footnotes.
I got the Song of Ice and Fire series for my birthday today :3:. Going to enjoy reading these.

Reading "Emma" by Jane Austen as part of the curriculum in English for my school. I've gotten quite far into the book, and the thing that bugs me about it is how great the level of detail is, it actually makes it easier to get sidetracked and when you're not reading important information you're probably going to stuff up any tests you have in relation to the book. So it's a pretty hard book to read.
I finally got Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, I'm loving it so far. I also bought a book of collected works by Lovecraft, which story of his should I start with?
