I got The Ninja's Handbook after failing at finding Metro 2033 at Borders. I used to watch Ask a Ninja all the time back when it first came out, they did a good job taking the comedic style from that and transferring it to print. I suggest this series to anyone, they are really all well written

I need someone to recommend me a crime fiction novel. I'm looking for something reminiscent of the millennium trilogy or layer cake, like a more modern feel. Nothing like those pulpy detective hardboiled whodunnit novels.
Does anyone know of any science fiction novels similar to Vernor Vinge or Alastair Reynolds?
Try Iain M. Banks
Anyone here know any good Horror books that I coulld download for free on my iphone?
Try Iain M. Banks
Thanks, I'll check him out.
Has anyone read 'Toward the Gleam' by T.M. Doran? I really want to, it seems quite interesting. Plus, one of his biggest influences was Tolkien.
By the way, if anyone here uses a Kindle, Nook, or other E-Reader, I highly recommend Calibre as a brilliant tool for backing up and syncing books to your device, as well as management and format conversion. Also, I can't wait for the Kindle 4, a color E-Ink screen? Sign me up. [editline]11th July 2011[/editline] I sincerely hope that the Amazon tablet isn't the next kindle, that's the whole reason I went with the Kindle over the Nook color, was so that I could have the E-Ink screen.
just reading this book, it's pretty great for travelling tips and whatnot. I haven't really been reading any fiction though, I'm writing a book myself and I don't want to subconsciously bite an authors style.

that sounds like gluing your vagina closed
Just read The Chronicles of The Black Company, The Stormcaller, and Hunger Games book 1. Working on A Game of Thrones now.
that sounds like gluing your vagina closed
I told my friend who I'm travelling with I bought it for when we went travelling, but he only heard the 'Bonding' part of the name. Funniest confusion I've had in a while.
Oh my god this sounds like it could be incredibly amazing or absolutely terrible.
Lumley is a quality author

I just finished reading J.D. Salinger's The Catcher in the Rye, fantastic book, and it's my favorite book now. I really recommend reading it.
Going on vacation soon, going to probably read on the plane ride there. Can somebody recommend me a good book, preferably something that is "mind-bending".

Apparently they're going to release a tonne of his unpublished short stories and works eventually, can't wait for that. His use of inane middle class America as a breeding ground for angst and self hatred is brilliant. Danielewski is crazy, it's hard to explain the layout of the book, but it is really well written.

Just finished this, great book with a great ending.
I forget who suggested Mira Grant's Feed, but I picked it up and started reading it. About 50-60 pages in right now and I like what I see. My dad snagged it before I did, read it, gave it to me and said he plans to read the sequel, so that's always a good sign. Thanks, man.
Rereading Wizards first rule again. First in the sword of truth series. The second, Stone of tears, is the best though.
One of the best books I have ever read.
Going on vacation soon, going to probably read on the plane ride there. Can somebody recommend me a good book, preferably something that is "mind-bending".
anything by Thomas Pynchon is a guaranteed mindfuck.
