Started Game of Thrones a couple days back. I'm absolutely inhaling it. Fantastic read

I'm a fifth into Don Quixote and it's more entertaining than I expected. It's probably the oldest book I've read so far.
Re-reading Lord of the Flies. Good book. :)
I wish there was a "Strongly Disagree" rating.
I'm a big fan of John Grisham, I've been reading it when I get a chance during the day, and I love it so far. Anyone with a mild interest in law should give him a look, he is a fantastic author.

Takeshi Kovacs (with a "ch") is the man. Currently reading Broken Angels.
Will finish Game of Thrones today... I have to make a choice. Do I grab A clash of Kings and keep reading this hypnotizing Saga or do I go for a cyberpunk intermission? I was thinking of Snow Crash, Do androids dream of electric sheep? and Neuromancer. Halp.
If you're going for Cyberpunk, check out Altered Carbon too. Clash of Kings is great, but if you're got a big backlog I'd suggest you read those and then go back, because Clash of Kings and the following book are some of the best in the series, and it's always good to savor it while it lasts.
Currently reading [t]http://www.penguin.com.au/jpg-large/9780141182605.jpg[/t] What Anthony is doing with language in this book is just excellent. Makes me laugh every time I read "millicents" as police men out loud. I quite viddy it.
You quite see it?
I don't like much fantasy but all this Game of Thrones stuff is really tempting me... Should I take the plunge, Bookpunch? Also I'm reading Lord Of The Flies and Tess Of The D'urbervilles for English Class. My god do these books bore me. Especially TOTD. I can really only stand archaic stuff in my H.P. Lovecraft.
Take the plunge. It's far from generic "wizards casting fireballs" fantasy.
Just realized I've been reading the same book for 2 months. Man, I need to finish it. It's only 700 pages too. Suppose I have read a good half of it in the past week though.
I've completely neglected to read anything for the past like, six months. I've pretty much lost all stamina. Someone, recommend me a book so damned interesting that I'll refuse to ever put it down.

Currently reading

By far one of the best things I have ever read in my life.

was good
Enjoying it very much. Love cyberpunk.
I don't like much fantasy but all this Game of Thrones stuff is really tempting me... Should I take the plunge, Bookpunch?
I never, EVER read Fantasy books, but this series so fucking amazing it turned my opinion of the whole genre on it's head. Go for it.
Would recommend every single one.
It's a dope book. It's informative, insightful, humorous, and paints a more human picture of Jobs. It describes how his charisma, charm, intensity, and focus were actually derived from other people and that he used to be kind of introverted, and how people close to him speculated he had narcissistic personality or bipolar disorder. He's seriously anti-social with a tinge of Asperger's I swear (super obsessive about details). You get to see in detail how huge of an asshole he was, but it also shows how he would throw fits and cry in arguments occasionally. I had no idea he was sensitive that way. I thought it was fucking weird and funny at the same time. (He was capable of being nice though.) On the positive side are his accomplishments. In the book, Steve Wozniak acknowledges that Apple's products wouldn't have succeeded without Jobs. His vision (perfectionism and technology for the masses), determination, and fierceness (i.e. securing key negotiations) really built Apple's success. And what makes his accomplishments all the more grand, is that a lot of time people thought his ideas would fail or flop, yet Apple ended up profiting astronomically. Also there's lots of zings and funnies. Here's one:
Great book, have been reading it for a couple of weeks now. Gives a great insight into his life, his achievements and his, at times, colourful behaviour and lifestyle. Would definately reccomend to anyone interested.
Just started reading childhoods end. Even though its from the 1950s it feels like it was just released today. I also love how the aliens aren't stereotypical kill you all or all look like hot women aliens and actually feel alien.
About half way through this, started it yesterday, if that gives an indication of how much I'm enjoying it. Great if you enjoy psychology, still good if you don't. Very well written, incredibly strong debut
You quite see it?
It's quite horrorshow, horrorshow indeed
Just finished the Inheritance. Pretty good book, and a fitting end to the series.
I enjoyed Pride and Prejudice and zombies quite a lot, loping this one makes a similar impression on me.
Currently reading Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy By far one of the best things I have ever read in my life.
I recommend reading the sixth book, by Eoin Colfer. I always felt that Mostly Harmless wasn't really a fitting ending to the trilogy, and Colfer actually does a pretty good job at imitating Adams' bizarre style. [t]http://www.wired.com/geekdad/wp-content/uploads/2009/11/andanotherthing-649x1000.jpg[/t] [editline]17th November 2011[/editline] "People have said, quite rightly, that Mostly Harmless is a very bleak book. And it was a bleak book. I would love to finish Hitchhiker on a slightly more upbeat note, so five seems to be a wrong kind of number; six is a better kind of number." -Douglas Adams

I have the complete collection, but I somehow lost interest at the end of the 4th book, despite the fact that I loved all of them.
Reading this [t]http://www.losthorizon.org/Book/LostHorizonBook.jpg[/t] It's very slow at some times but I love it.
