Reading this one right now. I really like the form of this one. It's a 999 line autobiographical poem but most of the book is a commentary written by the poet's neighbour and friend who seems to be misinterpreting the poem into a history of the country he's from, Zembla, who he may or may not be the king of. He might also just be an insane stalker, or a split personality of a colleague or something. It's a really labyrinthine novel.
Warhammer 40k books, which should I read first? [editline]4th January 2012[/editline] There's a Great War history book I really want right now but for some reason all of the copies are ass expensive. Not sure if I should go for it.
Dresden Files?
I remember seeing a shitty tv show based on that. Are the books any good?
Just got $140 worth of books for free from a gift card. Among some non-fiction stuff, I bought the Abhorsen trilogy so I could re-read it (as I borrowed it from the library the first time around). (Not the version I got but you get the idea) Great series, one of my favorites. Anyone else here a fan of it?

Just finished Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire and may I say it's the best thing I've ever read. The last part caught me completely off guard even though I knew something had to happen. I've always thought the books were childish as the movies so I never bothered but picking them up was the best thing I've ever done. Sadly I've already watched the endings of the half blood prince and the deathly hallows so I know how it ends. Oh whoops, this is totally not an alt
Man.. I haven't touched a book for years now. Maybe I should start reading again
currently I am reading Alongside the Iliad: A Truly EPIC tale.
Bought the only foreign reading material allowed in Basic Training. King James Bible.
seriously?
What friends? I usually do 3D stuff
Oh thank god, I thought you were a loser normal for a second.
Loser normal? wat
A normal person with friends etc Since that's boring
I am so jealous of British people who get to use amazon uk with free delivery Like, not even the free super saver delivery works for Bulgaria and when I order anything the postage & delivery is about 20pounds even if it's one single book I'm ordering. I've got more than 40 books on my wish list which can't be found in Bulgaria and stupid amazon is mocking me
I've almost finished the liveship traders trilogy by Robin Hobb. I'd recommend any of her stuff to fantasy lovers, but read the trilogies in the right order! :v:

I tried reading Watership Down a few years ago, but lost interest. Is it worth trying to read again?
Bought the only foreign reading material allowed in Basic Training. King James Bible.
Huh. What's the reasoning behind this, anyway?
Sounds extremely unconstitutional.
Got the Hunger Games Trilogy for christmas, I hear it's pretty good, looking forward to reading it. Recently finished reading Earth: The Book by Jon Stewart and the first Artemis Fowl book. Good stuff. I started reading The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy a while ago, but kind of stopped due to exams and stuff. I should really start reading it again, the stories are excellent.

Then I bought a kindle (after paying like 40bux shipping and taxes), now I tons of book in it. One simple click and the book is in your kindle. I love it.
Currently reading Metro 2033. Almost finished it. Really good book - the game is great too, if you like one I reckon you'll like the other.
Reading [SUB]house[/SUB] of leaves. It's interesting, especially how the book is presented as an analysis of a film that doesn't even seem to exist in-universe, but I kind of feel like there's a lot of fluff around not much actual substance. I don't know, I'm only ~70 pages in, but that's my impression so far. Still an interesting read though, and some bits are quite unnerving. [editline]7th January 2012[/editline] unfortunately I didn't check what edition I was getting so I ended up with the greyscale one, in which "[SUP]house[/SUP]" is not blue
The Navidson Record is awesome, the rest is very uninteresting.
