Not sure what you're talking about. It costs less than WoW.

It's stuff like that video which makes me want to start playing again, but then I remember how difficult it is to start with.
He looks like Shepard from ME2
I just realized that the fire is from Ep2 (Stock fire?)

Also that Caldari tank looks slick as hell.
Caldari-five!
I noticed that in almost every CCP trailer/presentation, it's the imperial alliance (Caldari/Amarr) that deals the ass kicking, which is oh so sweet.
Do want
Damn it, this makes me want to buy some game-time but I know I won't play it..
Trailer looks all awesome and stuff, but just bear in mind it won't even be remotely as awesome in the real game.
I am heavily disappointed at CCP for releasing DUST514 (the combat on ground stuff you've seen) on consoles only. Bullcrap.

WoW: 13€
EVE: 15€
WoW Sucks... Real men play EVE
Not to mention I am so far in the game I dont even pay anymore...
Plex's all the way baby
Hell month old characters can get enough a trial period and get a plex.
Console gamers won't play Dust514 for very long and the ground part would die out. Can't keep them entertained when you know they buy a new CoD every year.

Don't the Caldari usually have the coolest looking hardware (that's also the sanest designs out of the 4 races)?
I've had such interesting experiences with this game, probably the most immersive game I've ever played. I met people I'll never forget. Too bad I'm done with it now, I did sell my accounts for an excess of $800 though. So that gives you an insight as to how long it takes to get good shit.
I'll buy some gametime soon..
The idea of backstabbing console gaming mercenary hirelings by dropping orbital strikes on them from a decadent capitalist doomfortress, after they've drawn the enemies into the blast radius... before sending in a fresh wave of equally expendable console gaming peasants into the fray appeals to my cuntish Eve Online side.
So the next EVE online will just have this little video as their intro?
It's not mind-numbingly boring enough.
The best "sandbox" MMO to ever exist is something called Face of Mankind.
Basically you join a faction. That faction operates on a budget and economy that is formulated by YOU. You mine materials and sell them, you gain money, you spend said money on items that people inside your faction have made, that goes up the chain, and through taxation as well as internal trade, your faction gets that money.
With that money diplomacy is conducted. When diplomacy breaks down, war.
Wars wage across planets. Serene fields become battlegrounds. Decadent cities become warzones.
All the while YOU are the key for victory and defeat. A player run chain of command directs the battlefield.
If you want to be a lone wolf, be a terrorist. How to terrorize? Go to the enemy's place and bomb a populated location.
Hell, one time, I helped start a riot that led to a complete regime change for a faction.
Basically two factions are a part of one, and one is the military the other the police force. A guy was being arrested for trumped up charges in a populated area. I questioned it, and dozens of other people eventually formed a peaceful protest. Faction messages went out and eventually there were like 3 dozen people protesting police brutality. They started shooting and throwing grenades.
Unfortunately for them, the people in our faction are basically terrorists. We all pulled guns and had a huge shootout in the middle of a futuristic New York. Civilians joined us, and eventually we beat them back and because of the initial attack, a rift in the attacking faction was created, eventually making the most powerful faction into a disorganized rabble of idiots.
Fuck I need to play this game again.
I can't bring myself to play EVE alone. I feel way too vulnerable.
My Dad has the freighter from the opening, and he got me to start playing again.
hooray for low security ratting all day while my dad lectures me about the amount of shit he hauls
I would love to play it if I could ever pick it up :( I've tried on two different occasions and could never get the hang of it

How long did you play?
I should resub into this, I think that $19.55 for 2 months deal is still on for me :v:
I love EVE, but it just get's really boring when you end up having to fucking train for WEEKS to upgrade your ship.
I remember when I used to play back in the day, I would zip around belts, and wait for bigger barges to take out belt rats. I would then quickly grab the loot and warp back to a nearby station.
I remember I got an implant worth 5 million ISK off a fucking belt rat's wreckage once. I was pretty proud.
I'll get back into eve when you can leave your ship.

2 years
Oh hell. Thorny bought me a copy of the game and I got a total of ~60 days game time for free since you get an almost one month long gametime as a referral trial thing and 30 days from the whole new account thing. Such an amazing game.
One game that I have always wanted to play is EVE. I have to get back to it. I will be turning 18 at last and time to get my own bank account and some money of my own.
I've tried on several occasions to get into Eve, never really been able to.
