Cool, thanks guys, you've been helpful!
I owned a TM P90 TR. Great little gun out of the box. The only thing I hated about it was the hicap mags. When the hicaps worked, they were a dream to use, 300rds of non stop firing without winding. But that rarely happened after about 6 months of use. I was getting jams that would require me to eject the mag and bash it a few times for it to feed again. Eventually it got the point where I couldn't take it anymore, so I sold it. From what I've heard this seems to happen on all brand P90 hicaps after a few months of use. The only other option is midcaps or lowcaps. But if you can get past that issue it's a great gun.
Whoa. Deja-vu.
http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/...oducts_id=4397 This seems to be a good one from my research. Any other ones that would do, or would be better than this one? I like old rifles, SCARs, M4s and and the sort. Sorry about making the thread instead of posting in here first.
Most people who are new to this forum do that. Nobody ever thinks about looking before leaping.
Did some digging, found a nice KWA .45. Can't decide between the CA, TM, or Echo P90's though.
You can't go wrong with TM.
Okay, my friend's gun apparently caught on fire. I don't know what overheated batteries are like, but whatever it is there was smoke and burnt things involved. He just called me about it and he's heading to AEX now to see whats up, since I don't know what happened. This really sucks, because I think it's a problem with the wiring. We were an hour away from leaving for his cabin up in some snowy mountains, with 5 other of our airsoft friends. Is this going to be a quick fix? And what happened? I have the same gun, and we have the CA M4 CQB SEAL, newer model. I've heard of the few faults CA guns have, and one of them mentioned was wiring. Is that what this is? He also said he had left the battery in the charger the entire time he was at school. He has a smart charger, but still...
Just wondering, how does everyone feel about Grenades? [editline]08:53PM[/editline]
Okay, my friend's gun apparently caught on fire. But, I doubt a faulty wire could actually cause the gun to catch on fire, don't think the current has enough energy. My guess would be on the battery rupturing (acid heating up and cumbusting or faulty wire igniting it perhaps).
Probably either the battery or something came loose internally and touched 2 contacts and fried. Managed to do that with my TM MP7 when the charging lever spring snapped, made the whole gun smoke, but luckily it was ok. And knowing the way AEX is, I doubt it will be a quick fix unless you are a loyal and frequent customer, then you tend to get instant service (or at least I do). When there's an electrical issue like that, I don't expect it to be a quick fix either, so it will probably be put onto the waiting list of guns to be fixed.
How's Evike in terms of buying things from? It seems to have a B rating in the Better Business Bureau.
How's Evike in terms of buying things from? It seems to have a B rating in the Better Business Bureau.
Bad. I suggest airsoftgi.
evike is hit and miss, i hear people have problems with them but I've never had any problems. They do have a retail store though.
My friend's gun caught on fire once, as well. We'll never let him live it down.
From the times I've ordered from Evike I've never had a problem. Grant it I've never ordered a gun or a ton of parts from them all at once though.
Which vest would you recommend, EO teck or UK Arms? The vests are almost identical. UK Arms is $5 cheaper, too. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_96&products_id=3014 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=28_96&products_id=1019
OE tech is good from my experience.
first one's out of stock
If you put in a tightbore will you have to do any "supportive" upgrades so to speak?
Hop up.
How is airsoft megastore? I am looking to buy this JG Full Metal Electric Blowback AK-74UN From them.
Don't go there, look in the OP for a big site listing.
Just wondering, how does everyone feel about Grenades?
I'm wondering too so can we have answers please?
Ok, guys, so I am getting my SCAR in a few months, I found a store here in Basel. But does anyone know where I can get the gear (Vests, etc)? From a European site, preferably.
the op
Those are British, pounds are quite expensive compared to the Swiss Franc. [editline]04:34PM[/editline] Or Euros, by the matter.
I heard the Tornado grenade is awesome. Its also Canadian so it must be good.
Hop up.
I have to get a whole new hop up for a tightbore?
I heard the Tornado grenade is awesome. Its also Canadian so it must be good.
Hate to break it to you, but they are pretty terrible unless you play in a building with concrete floors. They are very quiet and the BBs dont go anywhere unless the grenade is thrown on a hard surface.
I have to get a whole new hop up for a tightbore?
Usually just a hop up nub from what i understand.
Usually just a hop up nub from what i understand.
So if I wanted to put a tightbore in an Stag Arms Stag-15 Full Metal M4, what else would I have to get to "reinforce" it?
