From what I've heard the CYMA m14 is great. I'd go with that if you're just beginning and want more of a longer ranged gun. Depends where you'll be playing though.

Depends where you'll be playing though.
I have had firsthand experience with it, and it shot less accurate than the guy's stock E1 m4. So pretty much it is less suited for long rang out of the box than it is for close range. This is why I suggested he got a new barrel and bucking to get extra range, consistency, and accuracy. The midcaps are so he doesn't sound like a maraca when he tries to be stealthy, and because hicaps are usually banned where I play.
Well I think I'm going to go with this: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_44_191&products_id=2753 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3070 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3731 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=36_117&products_id=5287 I might go for more upgrades as I get more money, as I have $350 right now and I still need some for gear. So I'll upgrade in the future and get mid caps for when the high cap runs out.
I recommend you not go with the RAS. It adds a ton of weight to the front. Take Kawaii's advice and get the new bucking and inner barrel.
Yeah good point, the barrel will fit right? So, here goes: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3731 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_44_191&products_id=2753 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=36_117&products_id=5287 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5845 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1479

And you don't need a scope, the M14's sights are made for long range.
Do I need hard bucking? And whats the difference between these: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1479 & http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=2475 So far: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3731 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_44_193&products_id=2990 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5845 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1479 http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=31_170&products_id=4693 I might get a scope later on then, I'm sure its not that hard to aim with the irons.

Yes, you NEED a bucking. It's the part of the gun that needs to be replaced the most.
But do I need hard as opposed to soft?
But do I need hard as opposed to soft?
Hard is for guns shooting some sort of high ass fps (~450 is where I use them), so go with soft for best performance.
Ohh okay, well thanks a ton for the help!
If he wants to get a scope I say let him. I always used my M14 with a scope. Not only can you use it to aim in the general direction, but it helps a ton to spot out enemies. Other than that it looks good. Honestly in my opinion you shouldn't have to invest in new barrels and hop-up buckings until you've played with the gun for a few games and have an idea on how it's performing. Then you go buy the upgrades you need. I find it stupid if you think you have to upgrade a gun as soon as you buy it.

Every clone I've ever bought I've left stock for at least the first month or until something broke. I know it's a clone and don't expect it to be the greatest out of the box, but that what makes it more interesting on the field. You have to adapt to how bad your gun may be and work around it, most often sneaking in closer. If anything it teaches you to be a better player.
Well I was going to just get the base gun with the scope and bbs first and go play a game, then get the upgrades if I feel I need them. Thanks to both of you!
What do I actually need to upgrade my inner barrel? JG Fs3/G3 probably upgraded with JBU 6.03mm, 509 MM long , but I'm not sure if that's the right length I've been told the G3 inner barrel is 510mm, but others tell me it's something like 470 mm, can anyone verify?
:insightful stuff about fields and loadouts:
Hm, I honestly never thought about that. I'll look into the fields around here more. Neighborhood wise we got a good mix of urban and woods. So CQB I'm guessing. Thanks for all the help guys!
This little tiny thing that hardly matters is really pissing me off. When I pull back my charging handle, then push it back in there's this little gap in-between the chrome-silver whatever it is and upper receiver. So I can see a bit of my hop-up. And I can't fix it.

It's a classic army AR15 CQB.
It's a classic army AR15 CQB.
Try putting in a stronger spring. If that doesn't help then suck it up.
It's a classic army AR15 CQB.
sounds like somethings jammed, I'm not sure. You should take it apart and clean it out, just make sure you put it back the way you found it.
Oh I've taken it apart. It all functions fine. It's just something came dislodged and I can't figure out exactly how the charging handle connects with the bolt carrier. Whatever, I'll probably get a new spring anyway. The stock one is pretty weak.
I'm looking for an inner barrel and silencer for my CQB M15A4. Which one is a good one to get? How long? What brand? Thanks.
I'm looking for an inner barrel and silencer for my CQB M15A4. Which one is a good one to get? How long? What brand? Thanks.
Now your doing it even more wrong. One thread and one thread only.
I'm looking for an inner barrel and silencer for my CQB M15A4. Which one is a good one to get? How long? What brand? Thanks.
Doofus, you got your answers. I already told you anyway.
stop trying to provoke an argument and just provide an answer... CA M15 CQB has a 200mm barrel length stock so if you want to upgrade it then you need to go and buy an inner barrel that's the same length and made for AEGs. I suggest KM or Prometheus. If you want a silencer to make it more accurate then go and buy an inner barrel that's the stock barrel length plus whatever the silencer length is. G&P makes good silencers but there really aren't any BAD ones.

What else do I need other than the inner barrel
This really isn't a "Is this a good idea" question but: Is it a good idea to run down the battery completely before recharging it? And how can I figure out what the battery is that came with my gun and how long I should charge it? [editline]06:45PM[/editline] BTW I bought a DBOY Kac Pdw.
