Buy a battery uncharger.
Is it a good idea to run down the battery completely before recharging it?
Yes.
And how can I figure out what the battery is that came with my gun and how long I should charge it?
http://www.greenbatteries.com/batterycalc.html
Yes. http://www.greenbatteries.com/batterycalc.html
Okay so on my batteries it has 8 cells, they say: 1200mAh 1.2v Do I multiply the 1200mAh by 8 to get total mAh (sounds dumb but just making sure)?
No
No
K thanks.
This really isn't a "Is this a good idea" question but: Is it a good idea to run down the battery completely before recharging it? And how can I figure out what the battery is that came with my gun and how long I should charge it? [editline]06:45PM[/editline] BTW I bought a DBOY Kac Pdw.
Some people say you should discharge you battery before recharging it. I personally don't, some do. For charging, you should buy a smart charger instead of using the crappy trickle charger that comes with your gun.

Let me give you some proper information on batteries and chargers. 1. The only batteries that need to be discharged before their next charge are NiCD batteries. These types of batteries are really old technology compared to what we have today, it's a wonder why they're still used. NiCD batteries have an effect called battery memory. If you try to charge a half charged NiCD, you just lowered the batteries life and it won't last as long, and there's nothing you can do to reverse it. 2. All other batteries, such a NiMH and LiPo batteries do not have battery memory. You can top of the charge on these batteries any time you want. LiPo batteries require a special balancing charger to charge all the cells at equal rates, or else this damages the battery. Don't be too afraid about that though, any lipo charger should work fine. 3. Charging Times If you have a cheap charger that doesn't shut off after it's finished charging here's how to calculate how long you should leave the battery on there. You don't need to worry about factoring in the voltage of the battery. XXXX mAH of battery (should be something like 1400mAh written on the cells of the battery or the casing) Divided by The output XXXX in mA or X.X A (1000mA = 1A) Equals Total Charge Time in Hours Example Battery - 1400mAh 8.4v mini battery Charger Output - 0.8A = 800mA 1400/800 =1.75 hours = 1 hour and 45 minutes

Thank you very much, I think you probably just prevented me from frying my battery.
Yes.
Only with Ni-Cad batteries. Ni-MH batteries don't need to be discharged. Edit: Ninjed by ender. Thats what I get for not scrolling down.
Never mind, the question's been answered. I just forgot to look at the next page.
I'm getting 5 more AK mags that don't need winding apparently. Would this be a good choice? I live next to the store so shipping wouldn't be a problem.

Those are mid-caps, they have a spring coiled up inside of them instead of having gears that spin to push the bb's as seen in high-caps. You will also need a speed loader if you want mid, low or real caps.

I just wasn't sure if you knew what mid caps were. And yes, high caps are annoying. I only use mids or low myself.
I recommend a high capacity speed loader if you don't already have one. The small pistol mag sized speed loaders will prove to be a bitch to refill twice to load one mag. I have King Arms M16VN midcaps and they've worked great for me. But I bought some King Arms M14 midcaps for my KART JAE M14 and they wouldn't feed due to slight tolerance issues. If you're close to Evike, it would be best if you just brought your gun there and asked to try some of these mags before you buy them. Last thing you want is mags that won't feed and you got to take them back and try another brand.
stop trying to provoke an argument and just provide an answer... CA M15 CQB has a 200mm barrel length stock so if you want to upgrade it then you need to go and buy an inner barrel that's the same length and made for AEGs. I suggest KM or Prometheus. If you want a silencer to make it more accurate then go and buy an inner barrel that's the stock barrel length plus whatever the silencer length is. G&P makes good silencers but there really aren't any BAD ones.
Thanks. Finally someone who doesn't accuse me of something retarded,

I want a tightbore for my Echo 1 full metal Stag-15: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=1233 or http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=5843 Which is better? I like the price of the ASGI barrel
Judging from their good reputation, Madbull would be the better buy.

The ASGI barrels I haven't heard much about. Better be safe than sorry and stick with the Madbull.

I understand I need a bucking, and I will probably go with a systema bucking. Do I need an H-nub?
A bucking is a good idea. An H-nub is optional. Personally I don't have one, but I heard they make a little difference. This sort of nub is suppose to be better though. For $7, it can't hurt to try it. http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=6446&osCsid=quu9jhuhjtmrcauqvadtoav6k3
You don't need a speed loader for mid-caps and lower, I use my hands and it works just fine.
You don't need a speed loader for mid-caps and lower, I use my hands and it works just fine.
You manually load 100 BBs? Yeah it MIGHT work for standard caps but anything higher and it's a pain in the ass.
You don't need a speed loader for mid-caps and lower, I use my hands and it works just fine.
Have fun trying to load 5+ midcaps in 15 minutes between rounds with your hands. Somehow wasting time pushing in over 500 bbs by hand is not my definition of fun, especially when there's cheap mechanical aids out there that speed up the process.
I've read some real nice stuff about the A&K Full Metal G300 and it looks pretty nice and seems to perform really well. I just wanna make sure before I buy it because I'm buying it in about a week. Could I get any ones opinion on it? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=4802
