I would go with the G&G only because you can upgrade it with normal parts.
CA takes normal Ver.2 gearbox parts. Even their ABS series of rifles take Ver.2 gearbox parts.
In an AEG, I mainly look for accuracy, range, durability, and reliability. I want it to last me for a long while and perform well with minimal upgrading.
G&G

Does the G&G M4 have the same internals as the M16A3?
I can't speak from experience but yeah, probably. If anything is different it might be a different spring.
Ah okay, sorry for all the questions... just trying to make a proper decision.
I always ask lots of questions. Never buy shit without making sure its what you really want first.
Does anyone know of a good red dot/holographic sight for AK's?

Kobra sight.
How long do I charge a 9.6v 1600mAh NiMh Intellect battery for? It arrived a bit charged, so I tested it out. Should I try to drain it before giving it a whole charge? I know you don't have to do that with NiMh batteries, but I want to get the maximum capacity.

I do believe there's an equation somewhere.

I remember seeing one, I just can't remember where. Maybe it was GI.
Be right back...
EDIT: Found it! 'Twas on GI.
Okay, I need gloves and kneepads already. Kneepads just because I had trouble getting down fast enough, and gloves because I play CQB and have the shittiest luck with getting hit on the fingers.
What is recommended? For kneepads, I don't even know where to start. Just standard hard kneepads I guess, what's best for the price?
But gloves. I don't want them to be too thick, but those nomex gloves look too thin. I'm sure you guys have found a medium to this thickness problem?
Try Mechanix M-pact gloves. Buddy of mine had the same problem, hasn't complained since he got them.
Yeah Mechanix gloves are great. I use a pair for CQB and outdoors.

Mechanix, either m-pact or original ($20) and then a pair of Alta kneepads.

Those sure are, I've owned the same pair for 2 years.
Anyone here heard anything about Milspex scopes? They have an ACOG with an illuminated crosshair, in 1x32 and 4x32 variants that look pretty interesting. I found a video on the same scope line, but the red dot version, and it looked okay. Minimal ghosting.
But it's all about whether it works in broad daylight, which is why it's proving hard to find a RDS that'll work in daylight. The fact that it's in an ACOG body just makes it better, I've always preferred the ACOG's looks. Only $40 + shipping though.

...and I can't find the 4x32 version on ebay but I found 3 or 4 by an ebay store about an hour ago, don't know what happened to them.

Alright, ordering those with Fallout 3 now. Free shipping :)
Hey, guys, what do you recommend? We plan to go as SpesNas (This is how you REALLY write it :smug:) but we don't know where to start. (Uniform)
What stock AEG has the best accuracy/range around the $270 price range?

Spetznas, and the uniform is called Flora. For all your Russian surplus needs go the sovietpropaganda.com
Hey are these any good? http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?products_id=3262
They look nice and have nice reviews, so I'm assuming they are nice. I also want them to fit snugly with a painters facemask so I don't have to wear a paintball mask. If these aren't good or won't fit painters masks, what will?
Painters mask as in something like this:

Also, Mich 2000 replicas with woodland cover?
what are you asking?
Where to get. I can't find the covers on the internet.
[editline]03:59PM[/editline]
Nevermind, found some on Evike. Anyone know another site?
I found a site with a dickload of helmets and covers, you might find something, or your cover.

Oh wow, nice find! Thanks a lot!
I'm thinking about getting myself a D-Boys PDW

Has anyone owned one of these or knows someone who does? If so what are they like are they any good or should I steer clear of them.
I have one. Gonna split this up.
-The metal body is a great plus, it can withstand a lot. Built very solidly. The swivel sling mount is also sturdy.
-The battery that comes with it is OK. It is alright to start out with but it has a pretty slow ROF and doesn't last too long.
-It has very good accuracy for something so small. I can hit people ~75-100 feet away and the BB's don't have a huge spread. (BTW I use .25's)
-The folding stock is a plus too. It is very sturdy and wont wobble around no matter how hard I shake it.
-Takes M4 mags so that is a plus. Oh, it's also light too.
-I plan on upgrading the inner barrel to be longer and getting a barrel extension to hide it. I also plan to get a weaker spring because this thing shoots at 400+. Another upgrade I'm going to do is a new battery.
-Also, the iron sights are kind of hard to look out of so I would recommend an aimpoint.
All in all, I say go for it. I'm extremely satisfied with it.
My friend has the Dboys PDW. Externally it's a beautiful gun. The only issue I saw with the externals was the front sight, it was wobbly and would not lock securely into place when flipped up. It's just a tad larger than a MP5K PDW, but it takes M4 mags making it a bit more useful.
Internal wise I'm not too sure because it's not mine, but my friend seems to like it .
Only thing I hate about it is the PEQ box, it gets in the way no matter where you mount it. Best way I could think of is to get a vertical grip and mount the PEQ box on the side.
