Thanks for post.
Is that CM048M AKM absolutely perfect gun for newbie? Is it good for and internal and external upgrades? What's the downsides?
Btw if someone have some free time, please search sellers that ship to Europe :)
All guns are upgradeable, some are just moreso than others.
The battery is a pain to change, but thats just how a lot of guns are, and it might shoot too hot for some fields, which means you'll need to probably switch out the spring.

I guess not lol.
Recently,my DPM got a bit too small for me :v: .
Should I buy it again, look for some Flecktarn or wait for some kind of ATAC-S?I should be useful in MOUT.
Small question if anyone has had a JG FS3/G3
Is the barrel threaded? I saw someone say it is, but I never believe anything in reviews unless at least 1 other person confirms it.

Go with Flecktarn.

Try something new and go for russian camouflage!
http://www.redsoldier.com/BDU-ACU.html
I don't really like any of that camo. I've always like anything digital, flecktarn, and a few others, but I've always hated generic camo of any colour.
Generic? As a red-blooded american I can truly say we have the most generic camouflage in the entire world.
I always thought Tiger-Stripe was the most generic.
Yeah I agree. I think most of our camo is pretty straight forward. (Except Multicam and ACU) But other countries are replicating that also.
Thinking of doing a tan pants black shirt PMC loadout, although it seems a lot of the events near Socal require OD or some sort of desert tan color. What to do FP?
Also, should I keep working on my P90 or get an M4? I will have about 150-200 bucks to spend by summer time and will be going overseas (that is, HK and Taiwan). I have put a box mag and red/green dot scope on my P90 but am finding the box mag is starting to piss me off.
Well if you have 150-200 bucks you might as well sell them, a horse goes for a lot now days.
:v:
If you are going to Hk you could try ordering from a site like rsov and getting the warehouse pick-up because it costs nothing and you will be in the area from what you are saying, so cheap gun and no shipping cost.
is http://www.scopeandlaser.com a reliable vendor?
Four out of Five voices in my head say go for it!

My teammate bought a foam filled M14 King Arms silencer from them, didn't seem like he had any problems.
They got some nice stuff but damn thats a horrible name for a website.

Evike is the only place that has it in stock, by the time it goes in stock they'll get around to shipping it so should I buy from Evike or keep searching for some random obscure airsoft site that also happens to stock it?
would it be possible to gut the innards of a real steal weapon and turn it into an airsoft one? preferably an ebr
would it be possible to gut the innards of a real steal weapon and turn it into an airsoft one? preferably an ebr
I'm assuming you mean externals. If so then yes, technically anything is possible (within reasoning) when creating your own gun, but just letting you know, getting a M14 EBR then converting it into an airsoft rifle will be a costly, frustrating experience.
This is a bad idea.
Would be simpler to just get one of the M14 EBR's on the market rather than gutting it and reconfiguring it for a gearbox.
when i said ebr i said it tongue in cheek meaning 'evil black rifle' i was actually thinking more specifically of a keltec su-16
I wouldn't mind seeing an airsoft version of the Keltec SU-16. Though I'd probably consult Ender and build it around an M4 gearbox.
I just looked at it. It would be an interesting project, but hard to pull off without some serious R&D. This is nothing something you'll be able to just cut and slap together, you need a design team to pull it off correctly.
The M4's Ver 2 gearbox wouldn't work, as the motor would stick out below the grip of that stock. Even then I would prefer a Ver.3 since the motor cage is connected directly to the gearbox. The M14's Ver 7 gearbox is a better candidate, but it's a lot longer than the Ver.2 as well. Just think about the magazine placement of a M14 compared to the Keltec, the M14 mags are a lot further forward. The Keltec's magwell is further back, and won't feed into hop-up chamber of a M14 due to this closer distance.
The only way I could see this being done is to design a completely new gearbox. It would have to be similar in design to the Ver.7, but the cylinder would need to be shorter and the motor would probably need to have it's angle adjusted (Something G&G M14 gearboxes can do I found out, at least to a certain degree). That or hack up a MP7 AEP gearbox into there, but who wants that.
what about the rx4's gearbox.
if i recall in a review it said the gearbox could 'swing' but i can't find that review.
but this one (in some other language) has a lot of pics of innards

i found it. it the one on airsplat
http://www.airsplat.com/Items/ERM-JLS-E04-RX4.htm
Might be a better way to go, as it's already setup to take M4 mags. Mag placement looks about the same.
Now try to figure out how much the stock will cost you, then all the machining you will need to do it to make the gearbox fit. Not only that but now you got to fit a outer barrel and hop-up into the gun too. I doubt you would use a real steel outer barrel and ream it out just to fit an airsoft inner barrel in it.
I mean there are so many issues to worry about, it's not worth the time unless you're an engineer or machinist with a lot of experience. I know I wouldn't take up a task like this. If I was to build it, I'd take specs of the real one and model it out first, then see how everything would fit together and what parts would need to be made to make it work.
KWA M4 S-SYSTEM 2010 version.
Good gun for a newbie in airsoft? Any possibility getting this gun to Europe? What's the downsides? Is the gearbox metal? Will it be possible to change stock to EMOD (like this: http://www.airsoftgi.com/images/airsoft_CA_carbineMODstock_C.jpg ) ?
any KWA gun is great.
