Blazing Toys doesn't sound legit to me.
So GI won't be getting anymore TM's? What the hell, I want one because of the low fps, regulation and all.

TM is Japanese.
Can anyone show me the best Propane Adapter on ASGI? They all have terrible reviews.
only real good one is the AI Adapter
Thanks, last time I looked at it I thought I remembered reading bad reviews but I was mistaken, that appears to be the only decent one there.
AI makes a good one as said and Madbul makes a OK one.
So, I have a Classic Army M15 A4, one of the older ones.
I'm looking a bit into the future and I think I'll upgrade it once I get it working. New barrel, new hop-up, motor, spring, what do I need?
I want to get alittle under 400 FPS from it and increase the range as much as possible without making the barrel longer.
Could someone make me a shopping list? This is my first upgrade and I'm very unsure of well, just about everything.

would this be a good start for someone wanting to get into airsoft?
i think i'd need a different chest rig but not sure which
I fixed the last link. It was supposed to be just extra ak-74 fake wood mags.
The last two links are the same thing. Aside from the gun, for a new player those should do you just find in my opinion. Especially if you're just getting the basics to get into it and don't have a set objective in mind like a loadout style or something.
I say aside from the gun because I'm not very well informed on most airsoft brands. The vest should serve you well since you're using AK mags and it'll be able to fit them. The goggles, I have a pair like them. (Not sure if they're the same, my are RSS or something. They're nice but they scratch and fog like a bitch so I don't use them, instead I use bad judgment and wear Dust, Wind, Rain goggles over my glasses.

But if you want my opinion, the rifle should be good. From what I hear CYMA make decent entry level guns.

- Madbull Ver.2 tightbore (budget)
or
- Prometheus Tightbore (Costly)
- Firefly Hop-up bucking (soft)
or
-Systema Hop-up bucking w/ h-nub or SCS nub
-Guarder Hop-up bucking w/ h-nub or SCS nub
-Guarder SP110 (410FPS, maybe higher with tightbore, settles to around 380fps after a lot of use)
-Guarder SP100 (~360-380FPS)
or
-Systema M120 (~400fps, maybe higher with tightbore)
-Systema M110 (~360-380FPS I think)
Motor I wouldn't worry about unless there's something wrong with your current motor or you're working on a high speed or high FPS setup.

That gun has two reviews on this forum, one by me and one by Ender. Read em, and see what you think.
Is there a major different between the Madbull Tightbore and Prometheus? What kind of increase in range could I expect? (Sorry to pump you for answers, just new to this business, guesstimate if you must)
I have a Systema bucking, but just the bucking and nothing else. Am I good on that department or do I need something else like the assembly that goes along with it?
360-380 sounds great, Systema or Guarder? Is one cheaper then the other or one better then the other? (I want to keep this thing within regulation for a field, I'm considering going the extra mile to 400FPS but I'm not so sure I need that.)
You've already been really helpful.
Also, completely off topic. Do you know any easy fixes to cover up scratches to paint? Like modeling paint and such?

Don't get black if you are going to be doing field games. It sticks out like a sore thumb. Any color is fine for CQB really. Also, my opinion is that you should go out to a game first and put the mags in your pockets or something and then make a decision on a chest rig. I'm not sure how easily you could access the mags and other stuff but I hope you get what I'm trying to say.
It might be hard for my to jam mags in my pocket considering I wear skinny jeans to accommodate how small I am in frame. I was thinking of just getting a backpack thing almost because I might look more or less ridiculous without a loadout and in my first game.

Don't worry about looking ridiculous in your first game, just tell people your new and they will understand. Maybe try a backpack or something.
What I'm trying to say is know what you need before you buy something. Because I bought my first vest and it worked out alright for my first game and then I had to go make a ton of changes and buy a lot of new pouches when I probably should have just got the chest rig you're looking at.
You know.

and I think I'm gonna stick with my AK for a while, so i think that the chinese rig that timebomb reviewed or the rig i picked up there in like a green or tan will do for me.

Prometheus barrels are made of a much denser and stronger metal than the Madbull barrels. They're a bit more polished too. Madbull barrels are insanely light compared to even stock AEG inner barrels, but they still get the job done. Prometheus will probably have just slightly better performance.
The Systema bucking should be fine. The only part you could get for it later on is the H-nub or SCS nub. Basically this is a small piece of rubber or plastic that sits between the hop-up bucking and the adjustment arm. The purpose of an H-nub is to create 2 points of contact for better accuracy compared to your standard straight nub that only contacts at a single point. The SCS nub is suppose to be better, by being contoured to the shape of the bb creating multiple points of contact. Both of these usually go for around $10-$15, even though I can probably make my own at work for cheaper.
Systema and Guarder springs probably run around the same price range. I've stuck with Guarder springs ever since I started upgrading and they've worked fine for me. Just need to be replaced every 3-4 years if you want to keep the FPS at that level.

I'm going to get a Madbull Barrel then and a Guarder Spring. Thanks.
The barrel will fit into my stock hop-up, yes?
I know someone who rolled with a JG Beta and just regular street clothes with really baggy pants. He had a grand of a time and no one knocked him for it.
Since this is the "Is this a good idea thread"
Would it be a good idea to set off and M203 grenade with my finger?

Yes, it will fit with no problems.

In some cases, yes. But keep in mind the button on the grenade is normally recessed from the end of the shell, making some brands hard to trigger by hand. I was debating on machining special extended buttons that could easily be triggered by hand, but then I got loaded down with work and the FPG mag catch takes priority over it.
Why is airsplat so bad?
See:evike
Evike:
fake reviews
Usualy ships thing extremely late or not at all
ships wrong items
ships items broken
overall bad site.
Well, I want to carry a grenade around, Tornado Grenades and such cost over a hundred bucks.
I have an M203 launcher but it's heavy. I figure I can just carry around a M203 grenade on my vest (Because it's tacticool) and trigger it with my finger to use it against another team if they're close enough. Like a mini-shotgun.
I just wanted to know if I'll get frostbite or something from the gas. I can trigger it no problem, just wanted to know if it's safe.
