Did you? Well it shoots way too hot for most fields as a rifle. You'll need to downgrade the spring for one, possibly buy new sights, a foregrip since it's apparently incredibly front heavy. A few AUG mags.
Otherwise looks like a good buy.
Nah, I was kidding. But I pretty much assumed that. Thanks for your suggestions.
BUT
IT IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO COOOL!
Better then the generic shit all over now.
No, this:

Problem solved.
It's very AK like...and boxy...and rail-less.
And is a gun that not many have. And sexy.
Even I have collected some cheap clone guns, but now I'm selling them. They each have their own little problems, such as the quality of their build materials. I'm sticking with just my high end guns for now (which strangely is 5 different CA rifles, no other brands). I have to admit I've never really regretted buying any of my CA's, they just work.
I support this idea, but if your a good gun tech, you can make any gun fire like a good high end aeg. I did this with my JLS SCAR. Probably one of the more horrible clones out there, yet it still runs thanks to my mods.
Does anyone have any experience with the Real Sword Type 97? I'm looking for a gun that's compact, accurate, lightweight and unique and the Type 97 looks like it would fit all of those. I can't seem to find many reviews though.

Looking at Real Sword's other guns, it will most likely be extremely reliable. Can't say much else on that one though.
The major downside I see to the Type 97 is it's unique battery configuration. No standard mini or large battery will fit, it needs a special numchuck layout that I can't even explain.
Not only that but I find the operation controls to be unwieldy. Having the mag release on the right side of the gun makes it hard to reach for with your off hand. Then having your selector switch under your armpit is just impractical, even worse when there's no forward safety lever such as on the L85 or AUG. Just my opinion
Makes me want to design my own practical bullpup now, hmm....
oh god i can hear the 3d printer swearing
I've already had a few idea running through my head over the last week on how I would build one. Features I would include:
-Forward Mag release (not sure how to do that)
-Forward charging lever, non-reciprocating (if it was a real gun)
-Thumb selector switch
-Front compatible with M4 RIS systems for maximum customization
-->Use M4/M16 barrels perhaps?
-5.56 Model and 7.62 Model
-2 Piece receiver
-Thumbhole stock or pistol grip, not sure yet
-Ambidextrous
That's just for starters. I'll be working on some hand sketches tonight, and maybe some 3D CAD if I feel up to it. Once I get those done I'll make a new thread for it. If you want an idea of how it may look, take a look at GRAW's MRC. Mine will have some realism components added to make it even more plausible.

If you got suggestions I would love to hear them. Any thing that will make it a more user friendly rifle would be great.
I was gonna suggest the Magpul PDR as a base, but I took a second look at it and I don't know how it would work without using an AEP gearbox.

A large battery compartment, maybe in the are the mag would go on a normal rifle?
Idea for a rifle some other time:
The rifle would be a bull-pup because of this idea, a second barrel under the first, this would have a small lever for a spring "pistol" integrated into the lower half of the gun, it would use pistol mags and they would be inserted into the pistol grip.
A decent range for a back-up gun in one gun, or maybe it has more power and for longer range shots?
I was gonna suggest the Magpul PDR as a base, but I took a second look at it and I don't know how it would work without using an AEP gearbox.
I would design it around a Ver.2 or 3 gearbox. It won't use those oversized MRC mags, think of M4 mags in a F2000.

The mag release seems like something you could get used to after a while. Or you could just take your shooting hand off the pistol grip and press the mag release to let the mag fall out. It doesn't seem to be a very well thought out design though. The selector switch is the least of my worries because I just keep my guns on auto during games.
Oh jesus an MR-C? By Ender? This is gonna be EPIC.

But having the mag release in the rear requires more movement to drop the mag. Having you shooting hand come off the grip is normally bad as well, you want to be able to track your target. I want something that can be released and reloaded quickly with the minimal amount of movement, similar to the M4.
That reminds me, I need to incorporate a bolt release feature.
Anyways, move discussion related to the design to the new thread.

The JG BAR-10
Is it good? A person in another thread suggested it instead of the WELL MB06 SR-2. It does not look bad so far, just a bit weaker for a spring and some reviews say the iron sights suck and it often fires 2 bb's at a time.
Sorry if this has already been said, but I highly recommend this gun to any beginner sniper. It was my first sniper, and I still use it to this day. It has stayed in good shape for the entire year, and still works like it did right out of the box. It has a range of anywhere from 100-175 feet, and has a fps of 470, at least that's what the guys over at AGI said when they sent it. Admittedly, it does double shoot some times, but that's only if you're a dumbass like some of my friends and pull the bolt back more than once before the spring arms itself. Overall, great gun for the price, I recommend the scope package, great deal for a great gun.

BlueSaint, I believe he meant ASGI, as in Airsoft GI.
I decided to go with the Ares Tavor instead of the Type 97. I'll end up paying less for the Tavor than I would for the Type 97 because I already have a battery than can fit, I just need to buy a box of mags. I can use thick winter gloves with it too, unlike the Type 97.

Thanks but I've already decided to stick with my CA m14, and perhaps upgrade it in the future.

I'm jealous. Once I get enough money, I'll replace the JG M4 with the Tavor. I like Tavors.
The CA M14 is 9001 times better then the BAR-10 anyway.

I figured but my point of him being a clueless dumbass still stands.

No. You will not be able to carry them and you will look like an idiot. (Unless they are the kind that are two mags put together, which might not even fit in the Tavor.)

I don't think you get it.
spare mags are GOOD.

Yes, not box mags.
A box of mags.
Rate me bad reading.
