I heard that some kid got a few weeks suspension because they found a needle on him.
...for insulin injections.
Schools.
Well if that kid had not done the necessary paperwork to allow him to carry his insulin then that is a problem.
When I was in high school you had to fill out a form at the beginning of the year when giving your medicine to the nurse. There was also a form necessary for you to be able to carry any emergency medication.
just keep it at "pride"
don't start executing people
My last "fight" was 5 years ago, and I only swear once a year IRL.
.. Ok thats pretty fucking unfair. I think a 10 day suspension, or a suspension at all for possession of aspirin is ridiculous. Can't you complain to some higher office about this shit? I might be to lazy myself personally, but you might want to try.
I don't know, but that seems like one of the biggest bullshit reasons to suspend a kid I've ever seen.
that's not legal either
It isn't legal to make you take it off, but they can kick you out if you don't.
Wah wah my school is unfair.
Hurr goldmember are automatically right omg.
Are they even allowed to search your car anyways?

This was covered already. Only if you let them.
Wow. Asprin is not illegal. What are they trying to pull?
Kind of an interesting story on the injustice that is going on in schools all across the nation. This just happened to me today. Let this go as a warning to all you high schoolers so this doesn't happen to you.
So today started off just like any other day, but in 4th period I get sent down to the office. No clue as to why. They said someone had called the Silent Witness hotline for our school and reported that I had been seen "handing out pills at the local park." So they just had to follow procedure and search all my belongings including my vehicle that I drive to school. They didn't find anything in my backpack and pockets but when they searched my car, they found a bottle of aspirin.
Alright this asperin was tucked away deep under lots of crap in my glovebox. I forgot I even had the stuff. The bottle was full minus the 2 or 3 I had for my headache. Over the summer I drove to Colorado which is well over a 13 hour drive from where I live, and I drove it straight through without cruise control. When I arrived I had a massive headache so I went out and got some aspirin. I just put it away in my car and forgot about it.
I now have a 10 day suspension. Yep, 10 days. For aspirin. In my car. I'm a senior and I've attended all 4 years at this school and this is my first disciplinary action. I've never even been tardy for a class.
This really makes me lose faith in humanity. Something really needs to change with this system.
Feed the principle 10 Asprin tablets and poke her with a stick until she bleeds out.
god is fake shirts are typically banned but arabic women can wear that wrap around there head when i can't wear a hat.
bullshit
here, have an "agree" rating.
I live in Canada and I carry Advil in my pocket all day at school :frogc00l:

hahahahahahhaha WOW
Public schools were created to keep out religion.
In the public school I went to, expressing your religious/spiritual/other philosophical beliefs (including atheism, you can't pull the "It's not a religion" card here) would net you a week's suspension.
It's not a card. Atheism isn't a religion.
Doesn't matter what it is, you couldn't do it there.
Well then I'd cite my first amendment rights, which is guaranteed in schools as a ruling by the Supreme court.

So they suspended asian girls for wearing their head garment? (not gonna pick a random name, because I don't wanna offend anyone).

Ain't that a burka?
They used to, but not any more. Hence the past tense I've been using. They've stopped because they realized it's fucking retarded.
They couldn't anyway, it's against the law.
[editline]04:06PM[/editline]
Unless we aren't talking about America, then never mind.

Yeah, the head there didn't know what the fuck he was doing. He was sent out mighty fast.
I'd just keep the asprin in the car. Or better yet, Sugar pills!
They can legally search your car purely out of suspicion? Fucking lol, America.
They aren't the law and you attend their facility and your property is on theirs, not only that you have to (Or atleast I did) sign that you agree to this little booklet which, has a lot of words but can be summed up fairly easily "You become our bitch"
my school was equally ridiculous, Friend of mine with Asthma forgot her Inhaler so she used her cell phone to call home to have it brought to her, and school hours were over but we're staying after for extra stuff, but before she could make the call her phone was taken from her, she didn't get it back and she never got her Inhaler, luckily she didn't need it, it's only minor, but it's bullshit like that that pisses me off... Rules from time to time definitely should be brushed aside
Want to know what's Unfair? A few years prior a Kid that was on the school's Trap Team accidentally left his shot gun in his car, he didn't get suspended, but wear a T shirt that says 'who is this girl, and where can I find her' with a SILHOUETTE of a woman, NO DETAILS AT ALL, you get suspended
Even so, I don't think they are allowed to discriminate like that, unless they want their house burning down (this happened once because of this type of racism, not exactly in my town, but it was on the news).
I'd just keep the asprin in the car. Or better yet, Sugar pills!
It was in the car...
Typical of you.
cry more
I got suspended for not picking up trash. The trash wasn't mine, wasn't one of my friends, and they didn't ask me to pick it up. Just straight to the office.
When I was in the 7th Grade I threatened to beat the crap out of some kid for telling me "Go commit suicide like your uncle" and they took that and thought I was threatening to shoot out the school. They called it in and I was reported. If It wasn't for me being sick the next morning (god bless light food poisoning) I would of been sacked by five Pima County officers at entrance to the school. When I returned the next day someone stole my backpack and I refused to enter school and left campus. They arrested me and got my side of the story and actually arrested the people who told me to commit suicide like my uncle did. Now, two years later I am in Highschool and I'm taking online courses cause my psychological therapy to day says I'm to unstable to be in normal classes with the same group. I call it more of a benefit to the incident, considering I also go with pass/fail program (meaning if I complete 75% of a classes lesson with a C or higher I pass.) To this day, no one fucks with me cause they find me as an anti-social psycho.

Whatever helps you sleep at night, it's shitty that the school fuck up like that but yeah, it's bad at my school too. Fuck, if we're late 3 times in a FUCKING TERM we get detained, not that I fucking care because I walk out on them anyways. It's not my fault there's like 50 cars trying to get out at once in the morning.
That's why you go into the bathroom to do any sort of drug, illegal or not. Medicinal or not.

Damn were allowed to be absent/late ten times in a semester before they kick us out and fail us.
Wow, you should do something, like contact the authorities.
